I was pissed that I had to take my GF to work today instead of staying for the cruise, but after hearing G-ell messed his car up I'm glad I wasn't there; I would have been crying.

Thanks to everyone who made the event from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Iowa. I'm in process of updating the website today to include a recap and some pictures... If you have pictures you want to send me for the site, please contact me at jrink@wi.rr.com. Glad to hear everyone had a fun time. PS -We have some new phrases to use now too Joe... "drivefast" and "throwed it". In addition to the ever popular "fronttroom".

Yeah Joe, you're right...I can't keep up with the N/A Fury. That's because I have the only 97 VR4 SS ever made!!! Less power than the N/A DOHC's and it weighs twice as much!!! They really didn't make many due to the lack of possible customers for some reason... It sounds like I missed quite a cruise though.

Turning onto the highway, either from my lack of experience with the new setup (much more low end torque), gravel/wet roads, boost spike... something made the car oversteer more than what I was expecting. The car spun 360 degrees to the left, then countersteered 360 the other way.
I had regained control of the car, and it was rolling slowly backwards just from the momentum. My main concern was getting out of the way of the following cars so I let the car keep rolling.
When all was clear, I then went for the brakes to stop before hitting the gaurd rail, but missed and hit the clutch pedal instead (the RPS MAX PP makes it just as heavy as the brake pedal). I didn't figure this out until after the car tapped the rail. Donno why I didn't think to hit the e-brake, or put the car back into gear, or steer out of the way or... something. I'm still pissed at myself for that.
More so, I'm just embarassed this happened in front of everyone. Especially following up our talk about the car the night before.

"Throwed it" Joe: you are a master of the english language.
Greg: do I still get my LONG awaited ride in THE GREEN BEAST even though it is slightly less aerodynamic?
