Big thanks to Brett and Matt for stopping by to help me out.
Matt and I wrestled with that tranny for the better part of the day, but got it out just fine.
I have a cherry picker lined up, I'll be getting the motor mount re-done along with the oil pan tomorrow/day after. (we tried re-doing the threads, and that was a big no go.
Greg, how much is that bolt for the supension, and how soon can you have it in my hands?
I'll stop by on the way home from work and get the passenger side axle seal.
Rear manifold is tapped with the EGT, and we putzed with a few other things on sunday...
Matt, do you think you could help me re install thursday night, or is that no good?
Let me know, I'll schedule around you.
Ever since the ride in your car, I've felt the need for speed come back to me... I NEED to get this car done.
w00t.

PS. For anyone reading this, Von reminded me how he gets the ball joint out of the lower a-frame instead of unhooking the a-frame from the chassis. You put a pry bar on the a-frame, and pry down, and whack the bottom of with a BFH. it pops the joint loose without a pickle fork, and you don't have to ruin your alingment that way either. Any more question go ask him on us3s. 'Cause I vaguely remember it, but not well. If we are doing round robin tranny droppings, and next time is mine turn, I'll take a swing at SJ's car with a BFH.

Ver Fer, forgot my phone at home today.
I have the passenger side tranny seal, oil pan is back on, and everything is go for the tranny going back in tonight.
I'll be home around 5~5:15.
Lisa is making us dinner. or if your scared, we'll hit up a resturant.
and either way I owe you a hooters lunch/dinner. Let's do the one in appleton as the girls in GB hooters are only so/so.
Toby.

It seemed to go in easier than mine did. Next time I do mine I'm going to use a cherry picker to take it out as well.

Just use a jack and put it towards the passenger side of the tranny. It's easier/quicker that way. Trust me, I've tried. Gravity helps pull it down. All you got to do is make sure the clutch vac tank and front turbo innercooler pipe is removed and you get enough room for it to fall out. Adam, your bolt got returned to me in the mail. Enriche Chaves at the post office returned it to me with a note about mailing "jewlery" and other items in a paper envalope. I'll resend it this afternoon.

I didnt see it, but didn't want to say anything seeing as I was getting it for free. I was going to just get a new one + nut from Mitsu... That is freaking HI-larious... mwa ha ha... if he wants a specialty bolt, I suppose he can have it...?

Problem 1. lost a starter bolt. m10 x 1.25 anyone have a starter bolt laying around? I'll swap in a Martin's Hardware Special, but I would like to have those bolts normalized, as they are not threaded all the way, and the martin's will be.
Problem 2. Rear manifold no longer goes on the car. hits the rear on the frame, and the front on the axle. I took the axle locator off, and tried prying the axle forward while dropping the manifold. no go, it still hits on the axle, the frame, and the rear studs...
I'm gonna pull the studs out, and get shorter ones. should solve my problem. Am I in for the fight of my life pulling these studs or are they fairly well behaved???
