Only took about an hour, its done. Now I need to get some tranny fluid then she's all good to go.
The axle boot was completly ripped open all the way around. It was pretty bad.

take good care of my axle. Did you replace the tranny seal? sh!t, if I would have thought of it, I have 2 brand new seals I could have given you. I have no use for them unless I go back to 91-92 axles.

If you have a gear puller, it can be done. I was quoted $57 from Napa for 1 tierod end. I'm not sure if that's with my famly discount or not.

It's really straight forward.
Take off the wheel. Pull out cotter pin. Remove castle nut. Pound tie rod off hub. Pull tie rod end. Curse like a WW2 soldier because it won't come out. Drink a beer. Stare at it. Pound some more. Curse some more. Drink some more. Finally comes out after getting peed at it. Drink more. Press in new rod end. Reassemble. Pull wheel back off because you forgot the cotter pin. Reassemble. Drink another.

only part I got out of that was to drink beer, so I assume once I start drinking and start working on it it'll just happen due to beer making everything possible. Thanks greg
