Um, yeah, it's been a long morning. I believe that it said 1.00 sorry.
I know it's running so rich you can smell it. (it being fuel)
PVC valve holding 12 psi normal, or need to be replaced ?

Aside from crank vents, if you can find a stock replacement PCV valve that doesn't leak, then you may have stumbled on a way to make some serious $$.

Any trick to getting the the injectors to seat properly? Just jamming them in the rail and then in the heads seems like a good way to create a vacuum/fuel leak. I started by pulling the old o-rings out of the heads, but I may just pull the new o-rings off the injectors, seat those in the heads, and then put the injectors in the rails and push down. I'll put a thin coat of oil on the injectors and o-rings. If there's a better way let me know. And a big F-U goes out to mitsu for these plastic clips that are snapping on EVERY injector. thanks guys. thanks a million. I'm really glad I jammed some paper towels in the runners now. Greg, I'll see what I can do on your PCV valve that doesn't leak. No Promises. Weren't you gonna use some DSM part for this? I thought I remember you saying something about it back in the day. OLD SKOOL!!!!

On my DSM, I just said, "screw it" and put filters on all the breathers and capped the nipple on the intake & plenum.

hmmmmm.....
I could have sworn that you had some trick that you were going to bring a DSM part over from the eclipse and bolt it onto the stealth, and that was going to have something to do with the PCV valve, and it was going to look stock 'cause it was off a DSM...
If I don't get those things swapped out tonight I may have to leave the car sit all weekend with the stupid injectors hanging out. I need more time. boo.

Injectors are in and don't seem to leak. Sweet. I put them in, charged the gas lines, and put it all back together in a hurry. (I have a trip this weekend, but really wanted to get the car back together, so I put off packing... ) I loaded up the E-manage, and the way it calculates the new air flow seems to be old inj - 360 divided by new inj - 550 = .655 roughly. So I did that, downloaded it to the unit, and started it up. no dukes, doesn't want to start. hmmmm. shut it off, and crank one more time. The second time it fires up. I can see in the real time display on the laptop that the airflow is being changed. sweet. So I whipe out the palm. the engine starts to "search" real bad. idle searches from 1,300 rpm to about 2,100 rpm. the O2's cylce, how do you read that? is there a range that they are suppose to cylce in, or what? Injector duty cycle is 2% where as it was 1% before at an idle. So I believe that there is more fuel to be pulled out, but before I do anything with that I believe that I have a vacuum leak to fix. My boost gauge is showing... less vacuum, I believe is the correct way to say it. (I know there is no negative pressure, but...) example: before I threw the injectors in I was running -6 psi and now I'm running -3 psi. So I've got a leak that I need to fix. I also dropped one of those plastic spacers for the fuel rails down into "the abyss." spent a half an hour digging that little bastard out... that was fun. also figured out how to get the injectors unclipped with out snapping that little tab. only had to wreck the back ones before I figured it out. Also lost my EGR tube gasket for the back of the plenum. So I have one leak right there. I'm off to order block off plates. and a new gasket. see ya guys. have a safe weekend.

I just took some locktite and coated the flange with it and let it sit overnight it seems to have sealed ok. You could try pulling the ECU fuse under the hood to reset the ecu.

You're boost gauge is showing less vac because of the idel rev. The ECU is detecting a lean condition (probably from a boost leak or your tuning), so it adds more fuel, idel goes up, the o2s go rich, so it lets go, idel falls, 02s go lean, ecu adds fuel, starts all over again.
What happened with your broken injector clips? Are you going to replace them? I hope so.
I can make another trip up there to help you get everything sorted out. I'd really like to learn how to use the E-manage.
I'm amazed considering how drunk we were that weekend, we didn't loose anything nor misplace a bolt... Now here you are, sober, and lost an EGR gasket. WTF pukey?

G-Ell wrote: WTF pukey? OH WHATEVER. You of all people should know that I act the same hammered vs. sober. nothing changes. I loose crap all the time. I'm more amazed that I had a pile of bolts from taking the plenum, intercooler line, and fuel rails off and remembered where they all went. (I just threw them in a pile... ) And don't make me bring up the copper washer incidnet. I didn't do any tuning. Just started the car with the base emanage adjustment to see if it would idle. It did, and then I shut it off. I know, I know, a job half done... I still have to wrestle with the fuel pump. It didn't make any sense to me to tune the car just to swap the pump and tune the car again. The broken injector clips I didn't see any problem with putting back in. I have to be honest with you those don't really bother me at all. unless I'm missing something. It's the black part. It has a metal "C" that goes around. There is a grove that the C fits into rather tightly and to keep that metal "C" from backing out there is a small black peice that sticks up. It is that small black peice that snapped off. But the C is held on pretty tight. I don't really see any reason to mess with it. at least at this point. I suppose you could wow me with a horror story that would change my mind, oh saltan of stealth.

guys, don't worry, the clips are only busted on the rear, hard to get to injectors. nothing to worry about.

That whole rear injector harness can be replaced for about $40 shipped from Renner Mitsu.

I'ma get the car running again, then move it to the new house, then the tools to the new house, and then, if we want we can pull the engine! But it has to run for the weekend, 'cause hauling it on the flat bed is not an option.
It doesn't even have to run well. five cylinders is fine. Goofy idle from the e-manage is fine. doesn't have to be fast. But it needs to get two blocks down the road before I tear it apart again.
Ok, call me stubborn.
EDIT: Oh, and when I was looking at injectors I was also looking at the injector harnesses. I just didn't get them cause I wanted to see how it went first. We'll see.
