I was washing my car on Sunday and I was harrased by a pigeon. No bull. He landed on the top of my car, and so I blasted him with spray from the hose. He decided that wasn't such a bad thing, and so headed over my me. I shooed him off the car, and he decided to play in the hose water running down the drive way. I picked the hose up and he wandered underneath it like it was a shower. After a while of playing in the water he flew into the garage and landed on my other car. I went in to shoo him out of the garage and he landed on my shoulder. Now I am seriously trying to figure this out. I grabbed some bird seed from the feeder in the back yard and put it out on the sidewalk, and he went after that. I went back to washing my car, and a few minutes later he started following me around my car, and playing in the hose again. I found a camera real quick because I knew no one would believe me otherwise. took a few pictures. About an hour later my father shows up. He brought a digital camera and I got some good pictures of my new friend on my shoulder. We fed him again, and then left to go to world off wheels, while leaving the bird in the garage with the doors open. He actually followed us to the highway. When we got back from the car show a few hours later he was still hanging around. I hung out in the garage for a while, and the bird left shortly before sun down. The only thing that I can figure is he's somebody's homing pigeon, and he stopped for a break. I've never heard of a pet pigeon before, but hey, whatever. Is this common? Anybody seen this before? Anyone missing a homing Pigeon? It's the first time it's happened to me. I was going to try to cage him and bring him to the animal shelter, or put an add in the paper, "Lost Pigeon Found, answers to the name Stupid Bird" but who knows where he came from. http://www.us3s.org/freeforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1114http://www.us3s.org/freeforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1115http://www.us3s.org/freeforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1116World of Wheels sucked by the way. Worst ten dollars I EVER spent. I don't know how those people can justify what they charge for a ticket. Most of the cars weren't that special. Old school Camaros with fake blowers. Hondas with wings, NOS and over 300 lbs of stereo.

Knowing Adam, I figured this thread was BS until I saw the pictures.
WTF!?

I knew that I needed pictures or NO ONE would believe me. I have some from a non digital camera that I have to scan in or something. This bird was hilarious. He would not let me pick him up, though. Nor would he stand on my hand. Maybe because it's only the first date?

^ | Bird Update. He was back again. I was playing with my car and he came in and landed on my tool box. He's into punk rock. (actually he seemed to be bobbing his head to any music). He just left again. I think he doesn't like to fly in the dark. He definitely likes bread better than bird seed.

Bird Update
So, apparently the bird's name is ashes. He's a homing pigeon that lives down the street from me. My mother met the lady who owns him while on a walk.
Apparently he gets let out every nice day (even in winter) and he roams. He also follows their car to the highway when her or her husband leaves in the morning.
She says that if he stops somewhere and people feed him he almost always goes back. His favorite perch is on someone's shoulder. Didn't see that one coming...
I just glad to figure this all out. If he keeps stoping by I won't mind that. I kind of like the idea of having someone else's pet for a few hours that I don't have to take care of, and can send him home when he's bad.
Got more pictures, but there not digital. I'll see if I can scan them.

Stoping by = soda/beer and nachos Changing plugs = wings & beer Pulling engine = steak and beer. Stoping by to introduce your hot 21 year old sister = you get ditched, me and her go for dinner where ever she wants. When it's nice out I'm usually in the garage with my father tinkering on something, be it changing oil, washing cars, wrenching on something, or trying to grab a golf ball out from under a running lawn mower.

HA!!! I had no idea that you had a sister, and I had even less of an idea what age she was. I was just throwing that stuff out there as a "food chart" it's not even all inclusive. You have to understand, I'm not that fussy. I'll hit on just about anyone's hot sister. Is her boyfriend big? I am just down the road from Brett. I try to whistle the BOV when I drive by his house, but I never seem to catch him outside... Farve could hit my house with a football from Brett's front yard.
