I have a crack in one of my 94 VR-4 / 95-96 Spyder wheels. Two of my rims are perfect. One other is peeling.
There is nothing on 3SI, 3S-trader, US3S, or eBay.
I've called several places and no one has the wheels for my car. Every place says yep that is a rare one we don't have any. Wheel Collision Center said I can ship them my wheel and they can fix it in 8 or so weeks for ~$360.
Does anyone know of a bone yard or salvage yard around here that has 3/S cars?
Has anyone had there rim refinished and straightened locally or non-locally?
What kind of aftermarket rims should I buy? Non chrome is preferable for finish. My wife isn

I say just deal for now and wait it out. A set will eventually show up.
Could have sworn there was a set on 3si in the last few days...

Aren't aftermarket wheels real?
I was looking at 5 Zigen 17x9 lightweight cast rims. A new set costs less than two replacement OEM rims and I have a second rim which could fail.
I can't drive all over the place on the spare. This car is a daily driver. I need to take my son to daycare soon so I can't use my motorcycle.

I didnt mean it like that. Just a fan of those stock wheels. And, imo, they look better than 95% of aftermarket wheels on a 3/s.

The problem with them is when they are dented the chrome peels. The rear of one of the rims was so bad it cracked. When the chrome peels it can slow leak too. Chrome is a bad material for rims since it is harder than the base metal. When the rim s damaged the chrome must be striped to fix it and then the rim must be re-chromed. It is a slow and expensive process. I'm trying to see if I can drive down to Cincinnati and buy from a guy on 3SI, a set of stock 92 wheels. This would give me the time to fix or replace my bad ones.

curt_gendron wrote: Levi is selling a set of the Spyder chrome rims: http://mn3s.zforcenetwork.com/viewtopic.php?t=14He does have a fifth one that is slightly dented. Maybe he'd sell just that?? later, Curt I asked him about a single on his thread on 3SI. I recieved no reply. He replaced that dented rim because it because it wouldn't hold air. I need one that is good or a whole set of a different style rim. I can buy a new aftermarket set for less than a $1200 used set and shave 24 lbs. of unsprung weight. Thanks, Joe

5Zigen FN01R-C 1790 17x9 looks good to me.
I'm not sure which offset I need though. On 3SI everyone seems to go with the +35mm. According to the wheel offset calculator that should add 5mm more clearance from the strut and extend 17mm more out the wheel well.
The +43 would reduce strut clearance by 3mm and extend out 9mm farther than stock on the outside.
I don't know which is better for clearing the calipers.
I've tried to call Dynamic Racing twice today I left a message at 9:30 AM. They must be really busy or not there.
------------
I might buy a set of 94 RT/TT chrome 17x8.5 rims from a guy on 3SI depending on their shape. It depends on who gets back to me first.
------------
I've also been looking at JB welding the rim and taking the car to a Dodge dealer an trading it for a Magnum RT. That's a bit of a day dream though.

Thanks again Jesse.
After cleaning off the brake dust I decided to keep them argent. They are in too good of shape to paint. Gun metal would have looked cool but argent isn't bad looking either.
I just have to go over to Pomps and get the rubber switched to the Stealth rims.
