looks good! you might want to use an external style sheet. Theres no real difference it just cleans up your source code alot and lets you edit one file for every page.... this is how you do it Code: </head> <link href="css/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
you can put it in any directory you want to just change it in teh href=" part looks good though.

Ugh That's a step down from Frontpage which makes pages look bad and have abnormal code too. Your headings are over and under your text when viewed with IE 6.0 SP2. The absolute values won't work for all situations. You might want to use the good creeto of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and use H tags instead of images.

Notepad and Arachnophilia are simple and don't add garbage.
After a while you can see what is happening by just looking at the code Neo.
Dreamweaver is a bit much for many websites. It is like using a sledgehammer to drive a thumbtack.
FTP is all you need to upload without damaging images.
Get the images to web size with a photo editor like Photoshop Elements

That leads me to my next question, are there any GOOD FREE photo editors?
I have ws_ftp, and i would like to upload images as seperate pages with links to them in the main page, but i don't know how to save an image as an html file. (maybe i'm just missing a good editor)
It would also be nice if i knew how to export a drawing in ACAD to an image at a 1:1 scale. It always comes out smaller, and resizing it destroys the clarity.

Link to the GIF, JPEG or PNG. Many freewares are out there on Download.com or other such sites. A batch image process function is very useful. I use ACAD 2000i or MicroStation V8 to generate rasters (GIF or JPG) of DWG and DGN files. DWF or DXF would give better results than an image Voloview can provide a browser plug-in. PDF is the best these days and it is free to print to it using pdf995 if you don't want to buy Acrobat. I use Acrobat because some features are required for what I do. Add a scale so the end user can adjust for shrinkage. IE or Nutscrape are poor programs for printing photos and you would be hard pressed to get them to print to scale. Photoshop or MS Photo Editor are much better at the task.

what version of autocad are you using? What is it you want to export, maybe I can help. I can import it into solidworks and then make a jpg for you and see what happens. just send me a file to try and tell me what you want. I'll give it a shot. I might be able to help you so you can do it if it will work. I have solidworks 2001 at home Aaron astoeffler@wolfappliance.com

TitleistGTO wrote: hmmm crazy you use Microstation V8, so do I.... I love it but sometimes I miss J 7.1. Most of my as-built files are 95-J version still. Some of the cells turn to crap on the V8 upgrade. Love having more than 63 levels. SE was garbage on anything but NT 4.0. v95 was a mess when importing v3 and dwg files. As soon as J beta was out I was using it in a production enviroment under the Select program, less crashes than SE. With V8 I had only tested the beta because the client still wanted a SE v5.7 compatible file. I now have over 700 V8 2D models and 2 3D models for the current 2 year project. I hope the client doesn't change their mind and want a switch to J. We switched from using Font 3 "Engineering" to "True Type Arial". A real mess to revert back to 7. The DOT wanted V8 for the Marquette but I didn't get to play with that project, maybe next year. The last WAUG event I went to the WisDOT was pimping Microstation J v7.1 and Caice.
