So today was my semi-annual pacemaker test with the Medtronic Rep at WMH. I hate these, as they hook you up with all these sensors, and hang a thing around your neck and download data, and torture you by turning it on and off at different settings...
Yeah huh.
Anyways, the good news is I've keep 30 of the 65 pounds off I originally lost and the damn thing fired about 50%
less since the last time. The funny thing is that only I noticed this -- not the rep or the nurse -- and they're making how much to mind the store? HELLO?
Now, the damn thing is so smart it can tell them to the day and time when it went off. They asked about a day last April. I just assumed it was while driving at RA. But them I thought about it and recalled I sucked that weekend, first time on the track with no Mitchell bridge and the butt-end was super loose, so that made no sense. I asked if it was a Wednesday, and of course it was, the one right before RA in April -- when we got the 7" of snow. I recalled shoveling that by hand at lunch as my Dad was flying up and I was pissed, as he was canceling. You may also recall it damn near all melted, my Dad did come and we did run. Well, I guess the thing went off like a firecracker during my shoveling and they were astonished I recalled that. I was astonished as well...
So, just for the record, shoveling snow is > than running at Road America.
Just thought I'd share....
