For that matter if you need just heads, I think I still have those heads from last year that I pulled out of my white car. One was in great shape, the other had just one bent valve. I think you saw them and helped me load them in my truck after unloading everything else at your house. Anyway, I think they are still sitting in my shed if you can get your engine cracked open by the time UMG rolls around and at least diagnose it. Also, I believe my neighbor Gabe has a complete engine he is about to part out for cheap. Anyway, try to make some kind of a list before UMG and I'll bring out what I can if applicable. Shit sucks, I'm feelin' your pain buddy.

John, whenever you decide to pull that thing, let me know. I'll bring over whatever tools you need and lend a hand. We'll get that thing back on the rode for the NG.

Looks like the best thing I can do at this point is to get the car over to Jeff's place and have him pull it out and break it down for me. So, anyone have a truck and trailer?

Truck here if a trailer's available. You don't think we can yank it and pull the heads at your place? I've got a fold up engine hoist.

I think we could get it out and crack it open here, but this is my first engine pull, and the first time cracking open this block, so I think it will be well worth the little extra cash to watch and learn the first time.

John: AAA? Tow it to Jeff's? Another option. $50 for a U-Haul trailer, BTW. SJ

SJ Good point. Loading one of these on a u-haul trailer not running is a pain in the ass, I did it. If renting a trailer with the hassle it might be better towing depending on cost and if they can haul without damaging a low clearance car. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z91/ ... arpic4.jpg

I've watched Jeff pull my Tranny and change the clutch in I think 2.5hrs after just pulling off I94 after work. I was impressed to say the least lol

Looks like I am shooting for getting the car over to Jeff's Sunday early evening. I plan on renting a tow dolly for the car. Demonscoach, would you be available to take my car over to Jeff's place?

John: We should be able to get it done. Noon soccer game. Should be available after 3:00. Call me today/tomorrow-sat. # should still be in your cell. I assume your getting a dolly from u-haul down the street from you. I've never used a tow dolly, get as much info from them as you can. They look pretty straight forward. It helps your FWD. Talk to you later, Scott

Alright, looks like I am all set, I will go over there tomorrow and sign the paperwork and such to get the dolly for the day, so we can pick it up whenever you are ready. I can't find your number, so I will need that again.

MANY, MANY, MANY, thanks to Jeff for all his hard and amazingly FAST work getting my engine out and broken down, however the car is not going anywhere for the rest of this season. I blew up 3 pistons, and have run all kinds of metal shavings thru to motor. It looks like a new short block is in my future.

Yes. That motor is toast. When John did it, he sure did it right.
