I got a palm IIIxe with the car and there isnt any software with it. I went to palm's website, and in order to get the software they say i must pay 25 dollars and give the e-mail of the previous owner??....is there an easier way to get the software?....im sure i can get the software from him, but if theres is an easier way, i'd rather do that..........Any Suggestions??!!

Hey Brian
DONT PAY for the software
I have a Palm IIIxe too. I've got 2 installation CDs. Not sure what difference between the two there is. Possibly version? Not sure... I can burn copies of it for you and send it to you if you want? lemme know. We'll work something out.

Well, I think the best bet for me is to have, Thats if someone is willing to  , Come over and show me how to run and use everything and what to look for when making adjustments, meaning the apexi SAFC, turbo timer, booster...ECT.........any takers??.....i pull 2 jobs so im not around alot. But if someone wants to, i have this weekand off. In all reality, i have 4 days off a month if i dont take any vac. But i can make the dells run . Someone let me know, im about 30 miles north of green bay. Soon as we get a nice day out, im taking her for a ride,storage coverage or not...  Thanks Guys

I'm confused. When you were mentioning the palm software, are you talking about the software FROM Palm (the operating system), OR the pocketlogger software?
I'm under the impression that pocketlogger charges you $25 if you have to reinstall their software, but I never knew that Palm did the same thing? Can you verify?
I have the palm software on CD.... the pocketlogger software, I'm not sure that can be passed around due to the serial # codes and all that crap. Maybe, I just don't know myself. In fact, I might have to do the same thing since my palm ran out of batteries the other month. I believe I have to reinstall the pocketlogger software and palm software. I'm worried pocketlogger will want me to PAY for reinstalling the same software I already bought, grrr.

Jesse There is no fee to reinstall. The software matches the synch profile. Pocketlogger has a $25 transfer fee if you buy it used. http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=transIf you can't get a previous owners information when you buy it used, the cable is most likely a copy. Its the pocketlogger software i need.....so yeah, it looks like i gotta download it from plam's website...oh well...thanks for the help everyone........And G-Ell, Thats ok for this weekand, i got till spring time to fugure everything out. But whenever you can make it up here let me know. I hope you didnt take me the wrong way about the ECT thing. I was meaning etc. If that makes since or not??.....thanks guys
