Everything I have seen about replacing the capacitors in the ECU shows 3 caps need to be replaced. Here are the caps that are listed for replacement.

You only need 3....
Make sure you thuroughly CLEAN the board before installing the caps. Hopefully, there isn't any damage to it.

I emailed the guy on ebay who says you need 4 caps and not 3. His reply was that some ECU's have 4 caps and some have 3 caps. First time I have heard that.
I just ordered the caps, 20 of each because they are so cheap. So if anyone in the group needs them I will have them on hand.
3 caps per ECU for a whooping total of .41 cents per ECU. Twenty sets for a total of $8.20, they add a $5 handling fee because the order is less than $25. Now add shipping which I don't know yet.....maybe $5. So cost should be about $1 per ECU.

Let me get my ECU out and swap my caps first to see how it goes.
Adding up all my costs to get the caps it works out to .83 cents per ECU. So if anyone needs caps let me know and I will send them out when they arrive.

I pulled the ECU yesterday and checked it out. Caps look to be O.K. and no physical sign of damage. But I have replaced a ton of caps in the past. Even though they look good they have lost their capitance range and are junk. So hopefully the caps arrive today and I can get the ECU back in the car this weekend. I pulled the battery out of the car and there was a bunch of corrosion on the bottom of the battery mount so I removed it and am repainting it.

when I did mine there were 4 capacitors. (91 auto) I searched around a bit to attempt to find why mine had 4 instead of 3 and never found anything concrete as far as different years.

Well I got the caps in the mail Friday. Saturday I sat down to install the them. Holly crap this has to be some of the hardest caps I have ever done. Not sure if its from the crap they sprayed on the bottom of the board, type of solder they used or what. I just couldn't jet the solder to suck up out of the holes. These 3 caps should be maybe a 20 minute job. I spent well over an hour and only got one cap replaced. I checked continuity and new cap should be good. Now to tackle the 2 other caps.
