If anyone is interested, we have a banner ad for the Speed Seekers event that you can add to your 3SI signature to help promote the event (please, no bashing, my photoshop skills aren't the greatest but I'm learning - have mercy). The link to it is: http://home.wi.rr.com/jrink/images/sig1.jpg My94r/t and myself are using it now... Everyone else is welcome to use it too. Just link to it. Brian also made us a banner ad to help promote the Upper Midwest Gathering this May. We will make that available for everyone soon. Just trying to work out a few more details... Stay tuned.

Here's the code:
[URL=http://www.w3si.org/new_events.htm][IMG]http://home.wi.rr.com/jrink/images/sig1.jpg[//IMG] [//URL]]
YOU WILL NEED TO DELETE 1 OF THE "/" CHARACTERS IN EACH OF THE LAST //IMG AND //URL TAGS. THERE SHOULD ONLY BE 1 "/" THERE...

I like the new banner add. It is to the point and easy to read. The W3SI logo has a better look than the 3SI.org logo IMHO. Please note that Alan S. is a dick and will delete your sig if he sees it on 3SI. He won't allow clickable banners unless you're a sponsor of 3SI. Quote: Posted by Alan92RTTT You might be a banenr ad if: 1) Looks like a banner. 2) Talks about a website. 3) You can buy product at that website 4) You can click it and it takes you to that site.
Result its a banner ad. Please remove it.
A sponsor is someone that pays money to 3si to have advertising on 3si. http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php ... ht=sponsor

thats really gay.
so you cant have a clickable banner, but you could have regular text with a link in it to go to where the banner would go. thats really shady that he would do that.....(jesse you ever think about having a ad sponcer on w3si. if you do and need help with doing that on the forum let me know.)

TitleistGTO wrote: you ever think about having a ad sponcer on w3si. if you do and need help with doing that on the forum let me know.) I've thought about it... It's something we're looking into to possibly help cover the costs of the website and other costs associated by the club (membership packets, cards, etc.). We're in the red (negative) and have been that way for longer than I care to think about right now *grumble*. Anyways, that's another subject for another time. As to the Alan thing... my94r/t and I have been running banner ads for W3SI events since August without Alan ever deleting our sigs. Curt and many other people have run banner ads in the previous years for the Upper Midwest without trouble either. I'm wondering if maybe Alan's just picking on certain individuals or possibly just haven't noticed that ours were banner ads. SHH....

I'm sure its just him picking on people or someone bitched about us having one because i've ran numerous banners in the past and he knows me and never said a word. So I'm not sure whats up with this one. Although I am a paying registered member who has donated a bunch of money to the site in the past. So that could be why he overlooked mine.
