I hope there is not any serious injuries. Sounds like they got peeps evacuated before it blew.

My office is only a few blocks from that area, and i was on the freeway when it blow up. VERY loud boom, and then it felt like someone hit my car. It was a very strange thing to experience.

They were showing pictures of the other tanks. And, as you said, were calling them 160lb. Those sure look bigger than 160lbs...

Even tougher on the heels of the Bartalotta explosion as well. Here's hoping a friend of our fellow member Steve (Demoncoach) who works there is okay as well. Best, SJ

Arguing????
Who was arguing? I agreed with you that they were called 160lbs. The ones they showed on TV looked huge - much larger than 160.
There was no attempt made to argue with anyone on this forum about this. It was tragic for all the families involved. I was only asking about the info they were giving on TV.
Perhaps I have explained my question better this time.

sorry, i wasnt saying you were arguing, although it did kinda sound that way when i read it now, i was just saying that i wasnt going to spend the time trying to argue my opinion on a 160lb tanks explosive capabilities, no hate here. i watched the news all of last night and still dont really know what happened, they are saying it was a leak that started it, and the three that were killed were most likely investigating that leak

SJ: Thanks for the concern on my friend at Falk. He was trapped in the building next to the explosion for about four hours because the part of the building he was in collapsed. He spent the night in the hospital for precautionary measures but suffered only cuts, bruises and a bump on his head. I will see him friday evening at his annual christmas gathering. It will be attended by many people from Falk he works with. I'm sure I will here many more stories true, exagerated and false while i'm there. Thanks, Scott
