In the future...
If anyone needs to dispose of junk engine blocks, or any other metal - I found a junk collector who will pick up at my house. Was here yesterday in his '60's Sanford and son truck. Saves us the time and hassle of dealing with crap.

Jeff, I just picked up a 1992 VR4 with 36,000 original miles. The timing belt has never been changed. I was wondering what your opinion on time Vs. mileage is on the need to change these things. I pulled the cover and it looks new. I know most maint. is to prevent a problem but, I know the car has been treated really well by the 2 other owners. Why they didn't have the transfer case recall done is another matter but, that is first on my list when nice weather rolls around (spring) not this 50 degree stuff now. Thanks for any help you can give me.....Mike P.S. TO- SJ,--------We have twins.

PM with my number sent.
You are not alone with this issue. Many of the well maintained first gens face the same issue.
Give me a call and we'll talk about the pros vs. cons.
Thanks for asking.

It will be interesting to see what mine orginally looked like again. I'm going to let the Doctor take the rest, but I'd change that belt and all related goodies ASAP as to me age and mileage work hand in hand. Best, SJ

My T-belt on my 92 slipped at 40k while I was checking it. Yeah, I felt pretty lucky that day.
