At the last minute on Wednesday, I had to run up to Hartford to deal with an issue our crack area location had dropped the ball on...
I felt like crap, and had no time to head home and grab the batmobile for the cruise up -- which sucked (although I only got into trouble on one corner with the Power Olds...).
On the way back, I wandered over and took the RC route from Hartford back down. Man that is a great drive. And with the leaves all down, you can now see the lakes and houses and such a lot clearer. It was a nice ride. However, 1989 Olds 88 on Hwy Q last corner before Hwy 83 was interesting...
It was a nice diversion and nice way to end the day.
So I wanted to ask -- for those that attended and didn't speak up, how did you like it? The route? Lunch? DQ? Destination? I know the weather just barely cooperated and turnout was mediocre, but if you have any feedback you didn't pass on, tell me what you guys thought.
I have only received positive feedback to date. Here's hoping more of you will come next year. I think everyone that came this year got at least
two giveways...
