Hey everyone, This weekend I turned one of my PCs into a digital VCR. I installed a TV tuner card and a bunch of software. It has the ability to record live TV. So I was channel surfing and found myself watch that Hi-Rev Tuners show on Speed. And they were doing a air ride shock install onto a 3/S. This 3/S is super riced out, but it was still cool to see one on TV. After the show, I exported the video file to Mpeg2 and chopped out the non-3/S segments of the show. So I've got a 5 minute video uploaded to the website for ya: http://www.mn3s.org/hi-rev.mpgIts about 56 meg in size, so don't attempt this if you are a 56ker. later, Curt

Yeah, I saw this a while back. That's one hideous 3/S, but like you said, at least it's some exposure!

Gives us the same exposeure hondas get. Not exactly what I want to be put in the same boat as. What a waste of airtime if you ask me.

Hmm. It's not even a 3000GT. It sure as heck looks like a Stealth ES to me judging from the rear bumper/tail lights and the rear sail panels... Was kinda funny seeing that thing bouncing up and down though.
Each to their own. Some people get into that.

Thanks Curt I've never seen that show before. The show called it a 3000GT but it had to be a Stealth. I could see using that system to get in and out of driveways as I almost always scrape the front. I don't know why people want to see these bunny cars hop hop all over the place. That compressor on a gasoline golf cart would be great for paint ball. I think you could run two or three eMags on it. If you had the Tipmann Hell Hound you could run all day and use the space for the two 15 lbs tanks for more paint balls. Curt what are you using to record shows? The quality was very good. I have a Haugpauge PVR-250 in my Win2000 Dual P3 1 GHz RAID 10 machine which looks good but it loses a half a second here and there when set to DVD standard (MPEG2 VBR) or even VCD (MPEG). I just put on the latest non beta drivers and program set. It makes me want to build a new AMD based system with a new PVR-350 and the existing PVR-250 and try MythTv and see if I can get any better luck.

It makes me want to build a new AMD based system with a new PVR-350 and the existing PVR-250 and try MythTv and see if I can get any better luck. I bought the ATI All-in-Wonder 9000 Pro, last week. It took me several days of fiddling with it to get it to do what I want, but I'm pretty happy with it. The quality of the picture on the TV using the All-in-Wonder is better than using the tuner on the actual TV. That MythTV looks similar to Beyond TV. I just messed with Beyond TV last night. That software has great and easy to use screens, but the product is kind of flaky. Froze up on me several times and I got runtime errors. The ATI All-in-Wonder is a solid product, but its not as user friendly, and a lot of its functions can't be performed on a TV screen because of the resolution differences. So you'll need a monitor or be able to set up a emulater from another computer. later, Curt

That could be the ATI drivers. I have read about crashing issues with certain revisions of All-in-Wonder drivers for pre 9600 cards. I think I'll try the Snap Stream Beyond TV to see if it would work on my rig. Too bad it isn't free and/or open source. WinTV 2000 from Haugepauge is nice but the sound loses synch after a channel surf. The only feature I really love is the channel surf which shows 20 thumbnails of current programs and it keeps flipping thru till I choose one with the mouse. I like the fact that MythTV is open source and it runs on Slackware or RedHat. I like the fact that if no one else comes up with a bug fix I can fix it myself, maybe. I wonder if I can use it in a Virtual Machine with VMWare so I don't have to build a new machine just to try it. I sometimes simultaneous boot to RH 7, FreeBSD, and Win 2000 so who knows. Thanks, Joe

Cool vid, Curt.. THanks for sharing that with us...
One quick note.. SOme people say its a stealth.. It is hard to tell.. Only thing that I noticed is if its a stealth the polished vavle cover is off of a 3000GT.. So either its a 3000gt or they replaced the stealth valve cover with one from a 3KGT which is definetly a possiblity...
But cool to see even though it looks like ass.. Ryan

later, Curt I'm trying BeyondTV 3.4 with commercial skip. It added 5 updates I didn't want on my system like .NET and changed my video drivers, but it looks so good. I haven
