I was going to bring both cars and minor shit on both, but was talking to Chad and we can hammer out the minor repairs on my white car which just leaves the tune-up on the VR4 and fix the cruise-control (please). Also keep in mind I'm bringing a mechanic who excels at drive-way work and has his own tools so that should alleviate the burden some-what. I'm planning on being the one who passes out drunk in the yard and mostly making the trip to see you guys.
Also, ERIC! I'm driving 8 hours to see your dumb ass, if I have to pick you up, I'm prepared to do that. Besides, you owe Chad a 12-pack, you should be prepared to at least make a cameo and deliver in-full a 12-pack of spotted cow.

Good. Bout time someone else picked up a wrench. This will give me an excellent opportunity to sit back and drink.

Not sure on what to do on my car yet. If there was enough room and time my car is ready for the 120K service. I wanted to get it done at the UMG but couldn't make it there. Money was spent on fixing the dent in my rear quarter panel. Only other thing I want to do to the car right now is gut the precats.
So tell me, will there be time to do a 120K service? I can bring down some jacks and jackstands if needed for others. I would love to do the 120K with someone like Greg around so I can learn how its done the right way!
Kyle

Kyle Your going to have to ask Greg nicely on that one... This is a fairly time consuming thing though... It might be a lot to ask on a one day gathering event... but I suppose we could give it a shot. Up to you Greg. Balls in your court.

I know it takes a bit of time to do. I just want to make sure it could be done in the time frame before I plan on it. If it's going to a tight to get it done I would just have to wait. It would just be nice to do it with someone like Greg there.
Basically it would be the belts, tensioner, pulley and waterpump. Not sure what else should be done. Should cam seals also be replaced on a 120K?Some say oil pump but I wouldn't do that now. Way too much time. I would put in an oil pump if I had someone else do the 120K at a later date.

How big of a job is it to install 99 lifters? I know some people don't think they will make a difference on lifter tick but I still plan to install them some day. If its a not an all day project then maybe I could do that and put off the 120K until a later date. Just need to make sure someone has the tools to do it.

Don't worry Greg, I hear they have good cheese in WI that will go great with that wine . If my buddy Chad comes out, he is a master mechanic and already familiar with the cars from working on mine for the last eight years. G-ELL wrote: Good. Bout time someone else picked up a wrench. ttangel wrote: This is a fairly time consuming thing though... It might be a lot to ask on a one day gathering event... What? I'll have it done in 2.5 hours if I bring my impact. 99 lifters & cam seals are a bit more time consuming, but can be done in an extra 2 hours provided there is an air rachet and torque wrench on the scene. bret.holbrook wrote: If my buddy Chad comes out, he is a master mechanic and already familiar with the cars from working on mine for the last eight years. I hear they have good beer in WI too. Can't wait to experience it. b.t.w. If Eric is not present, we will have to drive down to Oconomowoc and drag his a$$ back up. Any resistance will be counter-acted with dangling beer and possibly Joannas bewbies in his face until he comes willingly.

All dangling bewbies will be spoken for. we will just have to club him and drag him unconcious back to GB.

Amy and at least 1 of her friends should be coming along as well, so there should be plenty of bewbies to go around. bewbies + beer = FTW
