Christine's car has a "check engine light" on... I read up that you can use your datalogger to check what the cel is...if this is true could i just use my logger on her car to check it? And would i need different software other than the DSM LOGGER program that is already in it??
Basicly i dont wanna spend the $60 to have someone check it for me.
Brian

Depends if the logger you have can read check engine lights.
I think that the DSM logger has a diagnostics button, and may be able to read some CELs, but I'm not sure if it will try and read DSM or 3/S codes.

Do you have the manual? All you need is a voltmeter and you can get the codes by grounding one of the pins.

I don't think so. Are you replacing it with a used one? It's not hard to replace (expecially on an NA). Just remember to use thread tape (also called plumbers tape) to seal it up good.
