My 93 VR4 is pretty much spotless, not a door ding or a scratch on it. Yesterday I washed, waxed and detailed the inside of the car. I parked it outside because the wife wanted to clean the garage and put some stuff on the new racks (Highloft) that I installed above my garage door. We finished the garage and put the VR4 in because it looked like it might rain. I closed the garage door and wiped all the pollen off of the car. I went outside and washed the winter beater and then put it in the garage. As I opened the garage door something had gotten pushed too far over on the new racks and caught the upper arm on the door. It ended up pushing a big box full of heavy duty ratchet straps off the rack and down onto the side of my car. It was a horrible sound as the big rachet hit the side of the car, dented it and chipped off the paint in a few spots on the passenger rear quarter. I think that was the loudest "F" word I ever yelled. The hardest part will be to match the paint. It looks black but is actually a dark blue pearl. I want it fixed perfect so I know I'm going to have to pay big $$$.
What a rotten afternoon!!
