My newly arrived polishded aluminum radiator cover arrived today from UPS with some fancy new BEND mods from shipping. the box was damaged badly and the metal is all bent.
I filed a claim with UPS and they are going to look it it Monday. What happens with these claims? Do they reimburse you or what happens?

Was the shipping insured?

had this happen to me when I shipped a laptop and they blamed me for poor packaging which if you would have seen how it was packaged you would have known this was BS. but the recipient shipped it back and when I inspected the box it had tire marks on it. but neither of us were reimbursed for the damaged merchandise.. which is why I will no longer use UPS. USPS is cheaper and more reliable..

Finally got this whole thing squared away with UPS and the seller. Smokinvr-4 from 3SI made me a new radiator cover and polished this new one even better than that one that got mangled by UPS so I'm pretty happy with the way everything turned out.... Sure took awhole though. Almost 2 months, argh.

Smokinvr-4 sent me a new one. However UPS paid HIM for the damage. I never saw anything. I guess that's the way those claims work... The shipper gets the cash, not the recipient of the package. Suppose that makes sense though. Kinda.
