for best performance, you should go with a 9" rim. Technically, for best performance, 17X9, (lighter weight). 19's look good, but compromise ride quality and performance. Most people looking for a good blend go with an 18X9. As far as tires, the cheapest option would be a 245/40/18, but I've seen 265's on a 9" rim, and heard of 275's. 265 tires look badass and would give more contact patch, although I've heard that they can increase understeer a little bit, especially if staggered (ex 18X8 up front 18X9 in rear, like BMW's and other rear drive cars). Apparently, from what I've heard though (never tried it myself) staggering a 3s is a bad idea because on a base model, you're making the wrong wheels too big (makes sense), and on Vr-4 it messes with the differential, and you can fry it pretty easily. Hope that helps.

I went with Teins on my TT. Intrax drop is supposedly 1.7", Teins 1.5", and Eibaches 1.3". I would guess the ride stiffness would be according to the drop. I also bought new control arms (do not buy them from 3SX, there's a cheaper alternative for 50% of the cost and its the exact same parts basically) as anytime you drop more than 1.5", you end up with camber issues - or at least the majority of people do. If you're intersted in Teins or the control arms, let me know, I can tell you where to get them at an excellent price. Although, come to think of it, I'm not sure Teins makes springs for a non-TT model... hmm. I'd stick with an 18" wheel if I were you. No sense jumping up to 19 unless you like the look of a particular rims. I believe the offset is 35 or 40 yep. Post some pics of your ride nakatalee, we haven't seen it yet

I'm more than happy with the eibach springs and stock rims (18's) on my car. Most people don't even realize the car is lowered (even riding inside it). Might still go for adjustable rear control arms in the future even though the car is lowered about an inch because the rear wheel chamber is just a little out of spec. You, having a FWD, may still have enough correction.
These cars seem to be made for 18's because they fill the wheel well nicely, but anything larger just seem kinda rediculous to me. When Aaron put the 18's on his 99 white base, it made the car look 4x better than with the stock 16's.
All this is strictly my opinion. I live on the SE side of town in Richmond hills. There still isn't any salt on the roads so I still have the insurance on the car if you'd like to check out my car in person and go for a ride.

Thanks John Contact Jay at partydog@swbell.net he makes the rear control arms himself. I believe he charges $160 or $170 for a set... Much cheaper than what you can find at 3SX. A lot of people (including me) have bought these from him on 3SI and there hasnt' been one complaint from anyone. Jesse
