Hello all, Some of you may know me from 3si (mitsubishispecialties) but for the rest of you, here is my story.
I lived in Japan from 1987-1990, where i was first introduced to the high performance car world. I drove a mid 80's skyline 4 cyl. turbo (RS) while i was there. When i got back to the states, i wanted to continue to mess with turbo cars and chose the mitsubishi starion as my platform because i always loved the styling of that model. I was able to tune my 88 star. to 265 RWHP using all stock injection and ECU. At the time a friend of mine had a totally custom setup on his star. with TECII and custom port injection that only put down 225RWHP. Needless to say i was very happy with what i accomplished. At that point i started getting requests from DSM owners to do work for them so i started calling myself mitsubishi specialties and decided that mitsu was going to be the only "brand" of car that i would mess with. About a year after the 265hp dyno sessions, i came across a 91 VR-4 that was wrecked and desperatly needed to be saved from the scrap pile. I went ahead and purchased this car and restored it from the ground up and drove it for a couple years.
When i first found 3si, i quickly became one of the guys that people considered to be an expert in the field, and i continued to offer my input and it was well recieved. I had many ideas for product development on the 3s platform but didn't have the money to make any of them reality.
Somewhere along the line, the 3si community decieded that i was no more than a joe blow with nothing to offer, and since then i recieve more bashing than support. 3si has changed dramatically in the past 2 years and seems people are more interested in theory than actual real world results. For these reasons i'm slowly phasing out 3si in my browsing adventures. It looks to me like W3si has much more realistic and mature members, and i hope i can help with the experience i have aquired over the past 10 years.
As far as what i do, you pretty much name it and i can most likely do it for you. I have numerous customers here in Mn and a couple that drive up here from chicago that have only the best things to say about the quality and professionalism of my services.
I have met Jesse and Scott C. both and i'm sure if asked, they would have only good things to say about me. Thanks for the space, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

I'll say this about Jack. He's a great guy (I've met him personally up in Rogers, MN), good seller with excellent prices on most ANYTHING you need related to our cars, very professional, and definitely knowledgable to boot. Anyone needing some help with their cars, in regards to repairs OR parts, I'd suggest sending Jack a message...
It's great to have you on our message board Jack! Stay around! Hope you can make it to one of our gatherings sometime.
Jesse

Thanks Jesse, There is also a little blurb about me/my shop on mn3s local angle page. As far as selling parts, i am a dealer for most popular aftermarket products. For now until i get my web site finished, people can email me the parts requests with a price they want me to beat, and i'll do my best to match or beat that price. In an effort to keep prices down, i only stock certain things such as spark plugs and other cheap items. Everything else i have to order. My goal is to offer parts at low prices, so it's much easier on me if you include a price, so were not pissing in the wind. There are a couple mn3s members out there running on rebuilds that i did. Andy Pickle has a silver VR-4, and Bill young has a white stealth NA you may have seen these cars at the dells this past year.

I'm also willing to do more group buys but they MUST be kept private from 3si, preferably done by email. Long story, but there are a couple 3si tuners that enjoy putting an end to group buys.

Not very.......... You would probably get more bang for the buck if you installed a DOHC motor and ecu.
I can port the sohc heads and do some port matching, but i don't know if the gains would be worth the money.

For those of you who don't know Jack personally or the quality of his work, here's a message I saw on 3SI today from a 3/S owner in AZ about Jack.
"I ended up buying Jacks old car which needed a new engine and got an engine from KCVR4 which was a rebuilt shortblock and stage 3 heads. Thankfully Jack had to pull the heads off the shortblock only to find a shitload of damage to one of the combustion chambers. They had done a shitty job of fixing it so we had to get the work redone. Not only did Jack find that but he saved me another rebuild when he mentioned that they probably didn't take the plugs out of the heads prior to sand blasting and he was right. I'm pretty sure sand in the heads would have been a bad thing. I definately would avoid John's Motor shop in the Saint Louis area as they did a shitty job. Thanks to Jack I now have a very sweet ride and I highly recommend him. He did a lot of work on my car when he lived in Phoenix and it sucks for me that he now lives in Minnesota!"
I wish Jack lived in WI so I could work on cars with him and learn more than I know, hehe.
