Someone left me a nice present on the SL. Yesterday morning, I was up in GB and woke up to find 2 very nice dents in the hood. Looks like they were put there by a hammer or something. It was a great Christmas present. I must be sure to send him a thank you card or something.

Then on the way home, traveling on hwy 26 just after Rosendale, I catch up to some minivan going 5 under the speed limit. Must have been following him too close or something (waiting for the passing lane) because for no apparent reason he decides he doesn't need his garbage any more and tosses it out the window at me. Found a neet McDonalds cup in my bumper when I got home.

To end my Christmas Eve, I stopped by a friend/coworkers house just off hwy 73 on my way home. He was interested in buying my car, so I thought I'd take him out for a ride. When we got back, evidently I parked too close to the snow bank and didn't know the door needed to be all the way open for him to get out. At any rate, he opens the door, and tosses it full swing into the ice hill.

So yeh, I hope santa leaves me a new paint job under the christmas tree this year...

That sucks.
Hopefully he'll buy it and you won't have to worry about it.

He broke it, he bought it.

Santa got me a shiny new intake pressure tester. That and PTE 680cc injectors. I would LOVE it if santa coordinated with the easter bunny or even some mid-winter-sub-urban-ninjas to air drop me some wheels.

I've spent around $6K on my car this year and gained: a lot of knock, the ability to log it, and some shiny DR trophies.

That would just suck to loose $$$ due to these few cosmetic problem.

The good news is the damage to the door was very very minor, and I was able to buff it out.

As soon as it stops raining, I'm going to take some spray paint and paint the bare metal on the hood before it rusts. I've decided to wait and see what I can work out with the next owner about the hood. Maybe some kid will buy it and jump at the chance for 1/2 price for a carbon fiber hood.
