Some of you guys know I'm into electronic music. Lately, in my spare time, I've been playing around with a few programs that let you make your own music.
I took one of my all time favorite vocal trance songs and re-did it. Then did another, then a few more, before I knew it, I had a whole CD's worth of songs. Some got some major changes, others just got a bass riff or something added to them.
A gentleman got a hold of me last week and offered to purchase my songs! There's some copy-write stuff we have to work out, but if I get a record deal out of this, I could be sitting on a big chunk of change!
Yesterday, I sat down and wrote a song completely from scratch.
If you guys are interested in hearing any of them, I can make copies. Aaron gave me props, and he's not even into this kind of crap.
Think I found my new calling.

I am not really into that type of music either, but after seeing all the crap you do to make music after the NG I was impressed.

If there is money and copyright involved and an endless contract make sure to hire a lawyer to give you a jist of what you are getting involved with. It can be next to impossible to decrypt it all especially if you are being pressured.

Well, I got the CD compiled together, but I don't think I'm going to submit it. I did a little research and found $500 per song is piddily compared to the amount I can make selling records.
This type of music is huge in Europe (I'm living on the wrong continent). I think I'll have better luck trying to work my way thru the copy-write stuff on my own and find a place to publish the CD for me.
