Shameless plug here, just trying to help my kid...
Zack is selling live wreaths for Boy Scouts. His troop earns money for the endless camping trips they go on through this fundraiser. This is the only fundraiser they do. If you, or a parental unit or anyone you know in the local area would like one, drop me an email or give me a call. They are Balsam wreaths and range in size from 20" to 84" -- there are also canes, swags, ropes and easels.
He'd appreciate it -- he's almost at his goal. Last year he took top honors and sold over $1,400 worth. This year it seems like many "usual" customers are not buying. Thought I'd try a last-dicth effort here to help him.
Thanks,
SJ

[rant] Every year christmas takes over more of the year. I was absolutely livid when it took over turkey day. (one of my most cherished holidays, as both of my grandmothers fed me until I almost burst at the seems.) I have since grudgingly let christmas feast on the empty carcas that was thanksgiving, and let it use the long weekend for it's own evil uses (little kids telling relatives what they want in person, and women [sorry, sexist] flocking to the mall to save ten cents on a pair of pants that they could have bought any other time of the year.) {it's not how much you spend, it's how much you save... } But I will be flogged mercilessly by Santa himself before I stand idly by and let christmas encroach on one of my other favorite holidays, halloween. you are cutting it dangerously close here SJ. It's not just you, either. I overheard a few kids talking about what they wanted for christmas as they gleefully jammed free candy down there gullets. What will become of this world if we are telling our children in the middle of July "they had best be good, Santa is watching." shortly after that comes the "red and green" fireworks? where does it stop!?!?!?!?!?! [/rant] Anywho... sorry. I'm better now. little more info would be appriciated... Such as price, delivery time, and if they're made in sweat shops in a third world country, or acutally boy-scout made. LONG LIVE THE GREAT PUMPKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Linus: Look, you're preaching to the choir here bro. I dread walking into Target or Wal-Mart or whereever and watching them put AWAY the summer stuff right after the Fourth and display the Back-To-School stuff. I've noticed this year, however, Halloween was pushed aside rather briskly to let the Christmas stuff take over -- which we found in the aisles in SEPTEMBER! Here's all I know... I've been so damn busy I missed the whole thing. Order's are due TONIGHT -- money is due later. The only wreaths they offer are "traditional balsam with white tinted pine cones and red ribbons." Sizes: $15 -- 20" $17 -- 24" $26 -- 36" $37 -- 36" Double $34 -- 48" $45 -- 48" Double $41 -- 60" $55 -- 72" $65 -- 84" $20 -- 30" Cane $14 -- 30" Swag $19 -- 18" Rope $26 -- 25" Rope $5 -- Easel $3 -- 13" Door Hanger No, to have a web site to direct customers to so they could actually SEE these things would make too much sense for the boy scouts. Imagine all, the wreaths... They are actually coming from up nort ya der hey, eh. They will arrive the week of 11/20, just in time for Detroit and Dallas football. "Every Halloween the Great Pumpkin flies through the air with his bag of toys, and just think... if you and I sit here all night, we may get to see him!"And dragged throught the garden, no less. Best, SJ

If you give me some prices, I just might buy a couple of them. Maybe 36's, 48's, I dunno.

A big thanks to everyone who ordered! I know Zack was pleasantly surprised. I probably wont know for a while if he was number one again, but I'll let you know when I do. Best, SJ
