Do you feel anything in the clutch pedal differently, or just the car itself 'jerking'? Are you letting the clutch pedal out fast or just normal when this happens?

I don't know how experienced of a driver you are, but if your revs are very mismatched when you shift and you let the clutch out quickly, the car will jerk a little while the transmission compensates.
Could you describe the problem in more detail?

When was the last time you changed your plugs or wires? SJ

When the car is ideling, do you hear kind of a tapping noise from under the car? No, I'm not talking about lifter tick.

If you weren't so far away...
Does the clutch grab really high (almost to the top of the pedal travel)?
a923kgt had an issue like this issue in his 93 SL. I'm wondering if it's the same thing.

Has the clutch been replaced recently. Does the fluid in the clutch reservoir look dark/below the min level? It sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging all the way.
If you feel like making the trip out here, I'd be happy to check it out for you. Let me know!

I could take a look at it one night this week. I probably live 10 minutes from you.
