Some of us are still lucky enough to have our Mom's.
Some of us don't.
Some, like me, know it won't be long.
Don't forget to call if you do. Go and see if you can. Don't let pettiness and hate prevent you from doing the right thing. Life is short. Remember, it reads "Honor thy Father and Mother."
Living away from your family out of state has it's pro's and con's -- the con's seem to be winning. I recently saw first hand how this sort of thing can fester over the years. My Mom's sister, my Aunt, passed on April 15th. No one bothered to inform my Mom. She found out through a friend over two weeks later. Unbelievable. Takes a lot of hate...
I just noticed something odd about this date as well:
I arrived here in 1993, had at that time one of the worse winters on record.
This date in 1994 -- we got 6" of snow in Brookfield... the salt ruined my ROH racing wheels on my Audi 5000S...
Also on this date, in 2004, God gave me the big wake up call -- twice -- and one later in the week for good measure. I probably shouldn't even be here.
And here I thought it was just Sunday. Guess I have much to be thankful for today.
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
