I moved my wastegate solenoid because the guys from minnesota put it on the metal strut under the fuse box with wood screws, and that just didn't impress me much.
It moved about eight inches closer to the turbo, and because of the change in the volume of the vacuum lines it was causing the car to overboost to about 22 psi, and hit fuel cut.
So I stopped out by Luke, who busted out the AEM computer and we re-dialed in the duty cycle, which he did for free with no appointment, and I thought that was pretty top notch of him. So I'm back to running a happy 19-20ish psi. woot woot.
In the course of conversation while we messed with various things to get the car running right again, he mentioned that he was now the proud owner of a first gen 3/S.
He also mentioned he was looking for some stock rims and tires for a low price. Obviously I have no stock rims, but I thought it might interest some people on here to know that Luke has a 3/S and that someone might have some rims laying around and want to call him up and sell them.
Other then that, I just wanted to note once again that I enjoy my AEM tune that I got from them, and it has been absolutely flawless so far, including the safety fuel cut to make sure I didn't blow up my own car.
Also, in my continuing quest to replace all my worm gear couplers with T-bolts, he not only has T-bolts of various sizes in stock, but also a huge selection of silicone couplings and earls fittings, which I always tend to need when I mess with my car.

Good to know about the t-bolt supply. When I first got the stealth, I set out in search of them locally, and the replies I got were either "No" or "Wha-bolt?".
I didn't realize they were such exotic gear. I'd since thrown that on a back burner, but I'm not a big fan of all of the worm-gear clamps underhood. Especially the 17-year-old ones - tight, tighter, LOOSE.
Whenever I get my car set to a non-embarrassing state and figure out/decide what I'm doing with ethanol, I'm thinking I'll talk to them about tuning. Since my current tuner is pretty clueless. Oh yeah, that's me. Strike that.

As far as I know it's just the second gens that have to be picky due to the larger caliper size. 1brett wrote: Good to know about the t-bolt supply. Oh yeah, that's me. Strike that. Yeah. I check a few places, even speed shops, who all told me they would have to order them, then told me double the normal price. I still have four worm gear clamps on my car. One because I can't fit anything else in there, one because I can't seem to find any T-bolts that are "exactly" the right size, and two 4" clamps because it's the inlet to my turbo and I just don't care if it leaks a bit, and 4" T-bolts are just hard to find, not to mention pricey. Are you going to run E85 or something? Alot of people swear by it, last time I talked to Luke about it (a year ago) he didn't think much of it. I don't really care one way or another, as I can get race gas whenever I want, so it's a toss up for me. I wouldn't mind it so much if they didn't change the percentage throughout the year. I don't want to have to reload a different map and/or retune every time I fill up. I want to get in and go.

He complimented my on my car and we talked about his DSM collection. He's also big into Fords. He's a regular customer of Luke's apparently.

Yeah, I've been messing with it for a little while, only adjusting mix and base correction. No serious attempt at tuning it. I like how it helps with knock and timing advance, but you nailed it - I don't know about fooling with my tune after pretty much every fill, forever. If it wasn't for the seasonal changes in E85, I'd be interested in nailing down a mix that works for me, and then go with it. Right now I'm 50/50 E85 and 93, and right around no base correction with 550's. I like the concept, save for the hassling around. It's just that I have an E85 station on my daily drive - so I had to at least screw around a little with it, or I'd always wonder.

I suppose this would be a bad idea with my 100-mile new clutch. Let's see, if I start driving around Green Bay now, that's 130 city miles per day to get the break-in done by next weekend. I'd better get going...
