Hey guys and girls, my company is looking for people that want to work in a "down range" environment. That's means Afghanistan. Where I'm at.
Depending on the position, base pay is $20-$25 an hour. While down range (i.e. while working) you get a 50% differential. That brings your hourly wage up to $30-$37 an hour. You also get $420 a month Foreign Living Allowance, a $3k signing bonus, $3k vacation pay, 4 weeks paid vacation, and a $6k contract completion bonus (it's $500 a month on a one year contract). Weekly hours range from as little as 48 to as much as 84 hours a week.
Also remember that first $80k is tax free. They are also giving in term Secret clearance ASAP and full Secret down the road. Below are the position they need to fill. They are kind of hurting right now so some the experience they will wave.
Technical Control Facility (TCF). TCF personnel shall have three years of experience within the last ten years in operating, maintaining, repairing, and reporting on TCF installed and associated equipment. TCF controllers are required to have a minimum of two years of experience working with Integrated Digital Network Exchanges (IDNX), specifically the Promina 200, 400 and 800 IDNX.
Outside Plant Installation and Repair Personnel. All outside plant installers, or repairers shall have a minimum of three years of experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, repair and testing of multiple conductor aerial, underground, and buried multi-purpose communications cable to include coaxial and fiber optic cable.
