It is going to be summer time again....and I feel the need, the need for an MMORPG. We should compile a list of who all plays, on which servers, wether they're Alliance or Horde, what levels, etc etc. I am going to be signing back up in the next week to being my addiction again. Post your stuffs here kids, and perhaps we can get some sorta organized clan/guild type thing going if we can aggree on a server and a side. I am going to pick up a copy of the crusade this week and get everything installed, but I won't create a character until we get some results on here.

Currently working on a 45 Blood Elf Warlock on Exodar.
I'll start over wherever if you want to all get together somewhere. I prefer PvP servers, but it doesn't really matter.

yeah, if I'd do it, its likely only going to be for the summer as a pass time. It would be on a PVP server, anything else is pointless IMHO. Trying to decide if its worth coughing up the dough for the expansion or not. Anyhow, it would be cool to get a few of us together like one or two nights a week and beat some n00bz down.

Summer is the time to go out and play, not sit in the house and pretend you're in the world of make-believe like Mr Rogers.

WOW is such a boring quest/dungeon grind I don't see how it consumed any lives and whenever I sign back up I can never get through a month even before canceling. How about trying some more MATURE mmo's with a lot more CONTENT.
Like Dark Age of Camelot. Much larger world, more mature players, and a shit ton more high level end-game content, plus one of the coolest PvP aspects I've ever experienced. . . .castle sieges.
Or Eve Online. Really open skill progression based play system. Incredible and fair PvP opportunities and endless careers to pursue.
And don't forget to check out Age of Conan later this year, it's getting great reviews.
Time to retire WoW and move up in the world geeks!
Also, I don't think you can call all the mmo's out there mmorpg's anymore because they don't have any role-playing elements in them anymore. They are all just kill, kill, level. Wash, rince, repeat.

Shadowsong.
Holyundrwear - lvl 70 human paladin (44/17/0) keyed for kara, in a raiding guild. Spaceinvader - lvl 42 denanieadienenananina shaman (x/0/21) working on my pew pew lazor beams Sugarlovin - lvl 20 human warlock (does it matter what spec, it's a warlock) pwning everything nekkid. Bouncie - lvl 20 night elf priest (don't know) selfed after my knight with a two hander became a better healer.
few low level hordes running around lvl 10
Onixya
MooCoow - lvl 20 tauren shaman. yeah...
Girlfriend has a 70 fire mage on shadowsong, a 42 shammy, and a gold farming hunter alt.
we have enough interwebz coming into my basement to make me feel like I'm back at MSOE. minus the p0rn. (ok, maybe not.)
For every person that says there are better MMORPG, I ask why does wow have the most player base? Though I agree, there are better games. But the GF is finally comfortable with this one, so I guess I stay here.
PvP is fun in WoW as long as you bring a group. solo PvP is all about watching your stunned character start at full life and get CC/stunlocked/feared to death. lameness.

Because Blizzard was smart enough to dumb it down and elminiate a lot of the learning curve. Easy beginnner tutorials, simple controls, clean interface. But content and complexity they don't have. It was a good waste of 3 months but after playing some of the more in-depth, if less popular games, it's just not as immersive. ttangel wrote: For every person that says there are better MMORPG, I ask why does wow have the most player base? Did someone say "dumbed-down"?
That happens to be my area of expertise. I think wow is a very fun game, with a ton of players and a nice passtime. I don't review vid games, I just lay em.
You are correct, there isn't much role-playing as it were to the game, but its entertaining. Entertainment is what I seek, and I need look no further than wow and halo.
EDIT: I just caved in hard. I am reinstalling WOW as I type, and just got off the phone from ordering a new 24" widescreen monitor which is good for only 3 things: video games, PrOn, and both at the same time.
