Is it just me, or has 3SI been sorta ho-hum lately without anything worthwhile? Seems like I spend less and less time there of lately. Nothing exciting, nothing new.

I'm just waiting patiently for Matt, Trevor, and Chris to get their new turbo setups finished. Kinda anxious to see what our cars will do with a good set of turbos instead of the mitu ones we've only had available to us till now.
Maybe Altered Amosphere will realize that the 20G just isn't that great of a turbo compared to what's available. Speaking of Altered, I haven't read anything from JB in a while. Wonder what's up with him...

Yeah, 3Si hasnt really been worth posting on at all lately. Barely any good info either.
Greg, which altered guys are you refering to with the 20G's? The last 3 cars of theirs that i've seen have big garret turbos on them. GT40's, GT37's, etc... Either way, noone has even maxed out the 368's yet, so I dont see a need to go to such huge "slow spooling" turbos unless you are gonna be a dyno queen. Even the 10.5 sec zesty racing car had TD06 20G's.

Been more into other things for a while.. And I took insurance off both my stealths so I dont have the bug to look up stuff or spend much time on the site..
Been spending a lot more time on other sites looking into stuff. Ryan

Yeah I know it's an older thread. How can a person spend much time on 3SI when the norm is to get one of these SQL error or one of these Server Too BusyI have spotted a site that could be the next 3SI. It is US3S. The server has the capacity but still lacks enough users to get good feed back. No trolls on it as far as I can see. If you join tell them I sent you.

It won't be long and Alan will upgrade to accomodate the evr growing population + demand for bandwidth.

So it the three times are: The last six months, the first six months of 2002, and late 2000 thru early 2001? It wouldn't need upgrades so often if it had more moderators deleting crap posts, fewer allowed attachments and fewer images in the web design. I do like that it uses an xhtml design but each page has too much fluff. Alan once said how much bandwidth the server uses per month and it was insane. I think it was over 100 GBytes. I wonder how big the backend database is considering the number of posts on the server. When is the thing going to go critical mass? Sorry sometimes I'm bitter when it comes to 3SI because of too many, "Does this look to ricey?" posts I can't get on and get information about oxygen sensors. Can't use O2 in the search because it loads down the server.

These are my favorite
Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/sites/site16/web/forum/includes/db_mysql.php on line 334
Don't even get me started on the 3si search(less) feature, geez.
Zoodled, You should give Team3S a try. I post there more often lately than 3SI. Different sort of crowd. Some people say Team3S is stuckup, and maybe so... but you get NONE of the shananagans as you do with 3SI.

Some people say Team3S is stuckup, and maybe so... but you get NONE of the shananagans as you do with 3SI. I like how the error says it is emailing the Technical Staff but if you look at the link it is blank. I don't think anyone gets an email. Could you imagine if someone did get an email, "Inbox has 49,641 New Messages" or "Inbox is Full Please Delete Some Messages." I've looked at Team3S in the past but disliked the interface. I get about 600 new SPAMs per day between all my email accounts and although 90% is caught by filters I don't want anymore. I could set up another email address just for it, but I might forget to check it from time to time. The last mailing list I was on was NetBSD's Cobalt group and I had no time to read anything so I would just delete messages. I'll have to settle for Team3S's archives for now. Another reason I'm sometimes bitter at 3SI since I've sent them money for membership and they gave my 0660 number away. I have a subscription and I get no answers as to when the member database will be fixed. I've made some larger donations when they were having money problems, but they won't disclose the finances. This reminds me W3SI is in the hole everybody please check the PayPal link on the front page and make a donation if you can afford it. http://www.w3si.org/why_donate2.htm A few dollars from everyone would help keep the club afloat.
