Maybe we could do some raffles to raise some cash for W3SI?

I don't see any problems with asking for donations at the gatherings...
Speaking of which, Jesse, is paypal the only method of donating to w3si?

Checks/cash/paypal. "It's all good". I document almost all costs associated with the club on the Why Donate webpage. There are some things I intentionally left off the list, and basically "ate", because the associated costs I considered to be my fault (poor planning etc) so I didn't feel the club should recover those funds. I chalk it up to learning experiences.
I'd rather not personally (me) solicit for donations at gatherings. If people are willing to put something towards the club to cover some of the costs, that's great, if not, oh well. A few members have privately suggested having a small yearly due like most clubs, but I'd like to stay away from that as it tends to open a can of worms. The club is relatively small and so far, easy to manage, so we don't need to do anything overexuberant. <- is that a word?
The last thing I want is people thinking I'm trying to turn a profit here, that's why you haven't seen me solicit donations in the past regardless of the club's financial situation. I just prefer dealing with the finances privately, so it doesn't seem like W3SI is begging for money. Anyone is free to email/PM me about any questions or concerns they might have.
Thanks guys!
