Maybe one of the techies might know of someone who has a 4x4 truck. I just replaced my stock steering stabilizer with a rancho rs5000 on my truck. the box didnt come with any instructions but it was an easy installation non the less, I just used the stock mounting locations. My question is, does it really matter which end of the stabilizer (shock) goes where? Dummy me forgot to look at the original postioning before I removed it. As of now I have the dust boot on the passenger tire side (mounted to the frame) and the tube which houses the internal gas and rebound bumper is monted to the steering linkage.
I wouldnt think that it would matter which way you horizontally mount it, it's just a shock for the steering. Ive seen photo's on the internet of other peoples trucks (other makes/models) and some were mounted the way I did and some were the opposite. But piece of mind is a wonderful thing.
Guess I could visit a dodge dealer and crawl under a 1500 ram and take a look.
