I will be living in the Oak Creek/South Milwaukee area for this coming summer and was wondering if you guys in that area usually meet up with the cars every week or what? Thanks

A few of us in the Milwaukee area meet up quite often. I know I'm always up to hang out.
The W3Si club just restarted in full force this past sept. We will probably have a gathering once a month. Possibly even this winter to just hang out without the cars or whatever. We have a ton of fun together.

Hey Tedsrocket455, Glad to hear you'll be moving up to Wisconsin, we look forward to having you in the club. W3SI gatherings will likely be held *roughly* once a month through the spring, summer, and fall seasons (roughly April through October). Currently, the only events planned so far for the 2004 year are the upcoming events in April and May, but there will be others - June's event is already in the works too. The spring/early-summer events have not been officially announced, yet. They will be posted on the main website under the Upcoming Events page when we're ready. In July, the 3/S National Gathering is taking place in Indiana so we will likely forego a W3SI event during that month in favor of the national stage. We'll also sprinkle a few events between August through October to keep everyone involved. When I mention events, I mean events that are run by W3SI. This doesn't mean that us 3/S guys around won't have some impromptu get-togethers as well. As My94r/t mentioned, several of the guys in their respective towns/cities get together pretty regularly to hang out, talk shops, work on cars, and whatever else may come up. I highly doubt there will be a lack of activities for you to participate in, If you have any direct questions regarding the club, contact us from http://www.w3si.org/about_us.htmNow, back to the important stuff... tell us about your car! Pictures? Don't keep us guessing! JRink

I will be getting out of the military in the end of may. Then I will be coming home to were I grew up(oak creek, WI) to burn 2 1/2 months of paid vacation. After the summer I will be starting a new job.
Any good body shops in the area? If I havent finished my nissan 300zx, I will be needing to find one that can do some good custom work.

lol, they wont be able to tune this nissan. I dropped a big block v8 in her, 461ci/7.6liters. That is why I bought my 3000gt, I needed some good gas milage. I just need a body shop to do some molding and some good paint.

The nissan 300zx is a 90'. The newer z32 body style. The motor in it is an oldsmobile 455ci boared .030 over making it 461ci. I have 10.4 to 1 compression forged pistons. The heads are factory castings with a full port job and the intake and exhaust valves enlarged to a 2.08 intake and 1.68 exhaust. For the cam she isnt too big. Its a crane hydralic flat tapper with .496/.490 lift at 230 degrees of duration. Then of course all the other usual stuff on the top. Edelbrok intake with a 780 cfm holley carb and full length headers. I have alot more plans for the engine but first I need to finish up my chassis work. Right now I have the car in atlanta getting a chrome alloy 14 point cage and a full frame in her so she doesnt flex when the motor torques over on the launch. After that she is off to the body shop to get her body kit on and paint. I should have her up in Wi this summer.

Welcome to the club, I'd love to see the '98 at the next gathering or cruise. Is it TT or NA? You really want to come back to this cold weather?

My 98' is just a NA SOHC. At least its a five speed, but still nothing fast. I only have a few things done to her because I just bought it a few months ago. I already have a set of 18" oz rims on her and will be installing my new stereo when I get back to the states next month. I plan on being up in Wi by the fathers day car show on hwy100 in Milwaukee. Deffinately looking forward to crusin with yall this summer.
