if your from the milwaukee area you're prolly familiar with Highway 100 as the biggest cruising spot in town, it spans accross hales corners, greenfield, and west allis and is packed with cruisers every night. i'd like to organize a group cruise for everyone that owns a 3/s in a couple weeks. just guaging interest, if even a few are interested, we could meet anywhere on the strip at around 9 pm and have some fun. i'm also going to post this on www.3si.org under midwest gatherings. i'm thinking around friday august 6. anyone interested? highway 100 even has it's own website: http://www.geocities.com/hwy100wi/

You know it is illegal. Oscar's owner was involved in establishing the ban. There have been several police complaints from Oscars involving loitering and fights. The common counsel now wants all fuel stations in the area to reduce hours to make the area less appealing for cruisers. Anytime a business wants to alter its business permit the hours restriction is tacked on if possible. The gas station at 1112 S 108th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214 wants to add a carwash it has been suggested that the hours of their permit be reduced to prevent loitering. Why not take it up to Hwy 18 in Brookfield where cruising is still legal for kids in heat? They have a Kopps there and the speed limit is 45 mph. BTW: The site has a popup that tries to install spyware GAINso beware. Firefox is immune.

Yes, it is illegal, i've been there for years. They donot pull people over for cruising. Only if they feel you are causing a problem or doing some other illegal thing. Then they really lay it on you. I also know 4 of the 5 security gaurds at Oscars. I have also met the owner. They dont mind people hanging up there as long as you arent causing a problem for other customers. He was just sick of all the morons. Its all a matter of how you act. You act like an adult, you get treated liek one. You act like a moron, you get the shaft. and a healthy fine.

Oh and HWY 18 was a waste of my time the last few times I went there. The quality of cars and people werent exactly my thing. It was filled with rich kids with civics and shit. I prefer HWY 100 because later i nthe evening, when all the lil kids go home, it actually has quite a few nice cars, old and new.

well we could do a few different places to meet. one would be at the krispy kreme parking lot, however you'll get kicked out for loitering there unless you go in and buy something. so what i think we should do is meet somewhere in greenfield like the Aldi grocery store which will be closed so it'll be an empty dark parking lot. OR the budget cinema parking lot which is huge and they won't care. i think budget is the best place to meet. then we can head off. I live 2 blocks from highway 100 and i cruise A LOT (i have to sell my car when i go to school in minnesota, so i drive it as much as i can) and i've never been pulled over. and we all know how much our cars stand out. if you guys are worried then we should go on a weekday and not a weekend. fridays and saturdays they are very strict on it and even block off the left turn lane on the super america gas station where everyone turns off at. if we go on a weekday then there is still plenty of people out and much less police threat. SO, i think we should meet in the budget cinema parking lot which is in greenfield just south of Coldspring road (where i live) and just north of Layton Ave. on the west side of the street. at 9-9:30 pm on wednesday august 4th. if you guys are all game then GREAT! otherwise if many of you can't make it or want to do a weekend then we can do another day. doesn't matter to me, i'm good any day because i can practically see highway 100 from my street.
