well fuel mods I would be using 350 injectors with my already installed E-Manage and tt fuel pump, as far as a turbo I would use a t3-t4 hybred with a .48 compressor. and as far as the pipes, manifold to turbo will be 2" running to where the stock intake is (or was) using an external wastegate and running a 2.5" pipe back to the cat.
I have pics of this setup laying on the garage floor of another member from 3si.
oh by the way I am sohc and I have 8.5:1 compression and thus can run higher boost. and with the right supporting mods I.E. water injection or propane injection. with a 100 shot of nitrous I am forseeing some serious amounts of HP.

that is what my theory was as well. I don't think I will blow the motor though. before I beat on it to much I will build it internally.

hey Ryan I think if you are going to go the single setup the one from extremeboost would be the way to go. his kit is quite complete and with that shwitser turbo he is offering with his kit for that price you would be getting one hell of a deal.. and as a pluss he seems to really know his shit. and as another plus he has already sold one and has it on a car with someone to vouch for its quality..

yea that kit from xtremeboost is really nice but its $3600 then you need all your gages, LSD, and a buttload of other shit, haha im a poor college kid. id be happy with the 1000 some dollar kit, run probably low 14's perhaps with 13's. im fine with that.

Not to dash your hopes, but shooting for 12s and 11s could be a bit optimistic. There has only been *1* non-TT car ever that has timed in below 13.6 seconds. N/A's even with nitrous and boost are running mid/high 13's.

I'm not hoping for anything but being faster. that is all I can hope for until I finally see where I'm at after I am done. then I can shoot for more. that is the only logical way to mod otherwise you get your hopes up only to get dissapointed when things dont work out the way you planed..

oh yeah Bryan, you don't really need that much extra just an AFC $250, boost guage $50, and you can get my 360 injectors for $40.. you don't need an LSD and I stress (NEED). but it would be nice to have:)

N/A's even with nitrous and boost are running mid/high 13's. Yes, JB is the only FWD turbo car running fast. But it has more money into it than you could ever imagine. Plus its not a kit anymore, its a full blown TT engine in there. 12's wouldnt be hard at all with slicks and LSD. The problem with most of the TT FWD and big nitrous shot guys is lack of traction and drving skills. It only takes 280 crank HP to get an N/A into 13's and trap over 100mph.

Bryan, if you want low 14's/high 13's for $1000... you could just get a nitrous kit and run a 75 shot on stock fuel. remove your cat. get a custom catback. get an intake. and then buy an A/F ratio meter and an EGT gauge.

I voted for the single turbo. But im sure you already new that didnt you Bryan.. haha.. Nitrous is cheap but to be really safe most people spend over a grand on the entire kit.. I would buy the $1000 kit and get a new turbo, and make some custom exhaust.. I know some people that could probably do it for you.. Plus you want the vrrrooooommmm pssshhhh noise dont you.. In the end you would want either 360cc or 450cc injectors and that wouldnt cost much.. Then the afc, a few gages, boost controller, fuel pump which are cheap too, and a few other goodies to net you the time.. Ryan

Not sure where I read it, but it was on 3Si once upon a time. Its the same block, thats it. All engine internals are different. They are nowhere near as strong as the forged 2nd gen DOHC internals. This is just what I read. I've never torn apart a SOHC before.
