94 base sohc fully modded starts making real hp at 4000 pulls stronger as it aproaches redline, then bounces off the rev limiter like a superball in a box.
does anybody know how to kill the rev limiter on the hybrid ecu..

You're doing it wrong.
The idea isn't to spin a weak motor faster, it's to make more power in the range that you have. :p
(overclock the ecu. Research it :p)

i also feel that i have exceded the tunability of the stock ecu. and have been concidering 3 options.
option one: megasquirt
option two: Greddy emanage ultimate
option three: maf translator pro
i would like your opinions as to which one is the best bang for the buck vs ease of use.

by the way. this motor ain weak. they just held it back. i found out how to rlease this motors true potential. now its just a matter of putting theory and research into practical aplication. i am keeping it N/A and turning it into a high rev motor and i am going to put it to use on the road course.. i have been driving it out onthe twisty turny county highways up by my cottage and it loves it. as long as i stay above 3800 the car makes tremendous power compared to what it used to and the acceleration is close to that of a vr-4 until it starts bouncing off the rev seal  . and im still running stock injectors, although i do have a set of 275's comming tomorrow.

sorry for bothering you prissy VR-4 people I don't have a VR-4. As far as prissy, at least when I ask a question, I try to give background on the problem, and WHAT I HOPE TO ACHIEVE. You want to disable the RPM cut off totally? Or just move it up some? 8,000? 9,000? 10,000? Are you going for formula 1 numbers here? you want to spin it 17,000 to 18,000 rpm? Because if you want to do that, you had best shorten the stroke, and get rid of the piston rings or they will melt. You won't need them anyway, as the dynamics of moving the piston that fast will mean that not much will have time to escape by the sides of the pistons. If you just want to bump the redline up a few hundred RPM, then you could go with a different crystal in the stock ECU. It will change other parameters, though as well, so you had best have your bases covered. I also believe you can push back the RPM limit with the E-manage Blue. It's not as "all encompassing" as the ultimate, but it is a bit more user friendly. It will not give you the option of running MAP as the ultimate, but once again, you didn't state if you needed the MAS anywhere in your original question. You mention megasquirt, but left out the standalone that has actually been used on 3/S cars with some results. AEM. That will also raise the maximum RPM, and if set up right, also allow speed density versus a MAS, which if you plan on "maxing out an NA engine" you may want to look into, as a MAS is technically a restriction. Greg is also usually going on and on about a programmable ECU flash they are working on for the 3/S. I have no idea about that, but you could find more information on that if you looked around a bit, or ask him. So, if there is anything else, please don't hesitate to call people names and generally be belligerent until someone comes along to help you get the exact information you need when you only asked half the question, and then they can lay it out in front of you using large pictures. well when you dont get the answer you want by asking nicely , piss people off untill they tell ya how they truely feel.
if you were able to answer the question if given more information you could have just said so..
as far as why not the aem. its to damn expensive.... and yes i want to go speed density and i feel that somewhere between 9-11,000 would be sufficient for the rev limit for now.
you say that other parameters will change if you swap the crystal in the stock ecu, such as?

I can see that possible on 3.0 V8
so when you make your 3.0 V6 running at 11k rpms, I'd like to see the video.
