Hey all.

I know some of us have had the pleasure of meeting Beverly and Gene Helms from Iowa at gatherings in the past (Upper Midwest, MN Cookout and Carshow, National Gathering, etc.), I found out earlier today that Gene is in very poor health right now. According to his son, Gene has come down with pneumonia and is not doing very well at all. He is having problems breathing and is wearing a mask to help with his oxygen count. Hopefully things will improve instead of worsening.

Tonight while sitting around the kitchen, Greg, Aaron and I thought we could send a little "get well" card to him from members of the club that have met him. If you are interested, please either A) Reply here that you would like your name included on the card, and if you want to include a small note to them, then please include that too. or B) If you'd rather not make your comments public, email them to me at jrink@wi.rr.com.

I will pick up a card this weekend and add everyones name and comments for Bev and Gene and mail it out to them. It's always good to know there are people who care when the situation is tough.

Wishing Gene a speeding recovery....
