In the 5 million a year and plus crowd, I really don't think there is as much of a recession that they will give up their vacations and toys.
They have a disposable income that is just that much larger.
I know that there are also a few businesses that are actually doing better right now then a few years ago. My father's business is one of them. When the going gets tough the tough get going, maybe?
I know that the business that I am in is not doing as well, but we could be doing much better... we make money inspite of ourselves to be honest.
Along that note, but as a sort of sidenote -
My father is desperately looking for a ZR1 corvette and cannot get one. If anyone has any leads, I'd appreciate it as well as him. He has already talked to the bergstom owners, and they have told him that the one that they will have for sale is going to the owner of some other company in GB.
I am not talking about the Z06, as is often confused on 3si. I am talking about the 650 hp supercharged one from the factory.
The closest he has come to finding one is a dealership in Tennessee that will not promise him the correct color, and it will cost 220,000 dollars. a tad over double blue book.
That's pretty much it. He'll have to wait until late in the year that they come out to even come close to MSRP. It really sucks. My cousin waited until 7-8 months after the GT-500 came out and he still paid close to a 10k dealer markup.
