Since he must be to busy to get his lazy butt on here His JDM tranny is on my garage floor waiting for me to put it in. He wanted to know of a good quality ATF to put in it. He didnt seem to care if its pricey, the only one I've really heard anything about is that "Trick shift". Anyone have any suggestions for him/me.

GM SynchroMesh is what I use -- been very happy with it over anything else. SJ

I wouldn't use GM Synchromesh in an auto tranny. I honestly don't have any suggests for a "performance" auto tranny fluid but like any oil, if you change it often, it shouldn't be an issue.

There is a difference between normal ATF and "better". The last good stuff I bought came in purple bottles, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.
ANY decent machine shop will sell better than normal ATF. Most auto stores just sell regular junk.

Sometime this spring I may have you do a few things for me as I probably wont have time to work on them. But we'll talk aobut that when the time comes. how is everything else going for you?
