If anyone has some or would mind removing a cap and taking some pictures, I'd really appreciate it.
Please just email them to me.
Thanks,
SJ

Neil Yes, please -- and if you would, take a few. Thank you. SJ

Yeh, we've been talking about it. I found out the problem and have a few ideas to fix it. The issue is SJ just has his car lowered too much for how long the stock strut is.
The best way to fix it and keep the ECS is to just raise the spring height until the top of the strut clears the hood or ditch the ECS strut completely and go with a KYB replacement (which won't stick up as far).

So is this why the 575 hood wouldn't close on his car? I am having the same issue. My suspension is totally stock.

No, this is why his struts stick up farther than stock.
If your suspention is stock and it doesn't fit, then Deft needs to make a modification to his hood design.

I am not ready to deal with the hood yet, but it will be an issue soon. Don't you have to remove the covers for it to fit? You can still keep the ECS plug, but i think the covers need to be removed.

I'll try that tonight when I take the covers off for SJ's pics. Deft didn't tell me that and I didn't think it would make that much of a difference seeing they are somewhat flexible.

SJ I can tell you places that USED to, but I haven't seen them sold in over a year. I vaugly remember a thread somewhere on 3si about a guy who contacted Blistein and got a group buy for 10 or 20 or them and that was it.

Mad Scientist:
Any help would be appreciated. Here is the reply for Ground Control:
S.J.,
I just spoke with the engineer and he doesn't have a solution. It doesn't look like there is a way to lower the assembly enough to clear the hood. Can the hood be modified? In other words, can the hood bracing be modified for clearance and then re-glassed?
I'm sorry I couldn't do more for you, but I'm sure you'll come up with some solution. If you have any more questions or would like our opinion on future ideas please don't hesitate to give me a call.
Mark
So, I guess if I want the hood, I either have to loose the ECS or have Brian modify the hood -- both of which equals lots of cash I don't have.
I again don't understand why it fits under the OEM hood but not this one.
Oh well, I guess we'll investigate both.
Brian -- please contact me when you can.
Thanks,
SJ
