So after doing my turbo swap I wanted to turn the engine over without starting it to get oil in all of the new lines. I disconnected My fuel pump from where it connects to the battery.
I turned the engine over for 5-10ish seconds. Then I hooked the fuel pump back up. Then I went to start the car. It started, but would die right away. I was able to keep it running for a few seconds by giving it a little throttle, and then it died. It was getting late so I stoped for the night and then I tried to start it the next day it wouldn't even fire. It would just turn over.
I checked everything over and all the connectors appear to be plugged in. Also I pulled a plug wire out and put a spark plug on it and the car has spark. I also disconnected the fuel line at the rail and turned over the engine and fuel came out, so the pump is functioning.
Sorry for the long story, but I just wanted to try to explain the whole situation the best I could.
Does anybody have any ideas of what my problem is? Or anything else I could check to try and find out whats wrong.

jump the wire going to the fuel pump on the positive side of the battery, that will make sure that you have proper fuel pressure in the lines.
after having mine apart for 9 months, I needed to help the pump build pressure in the lines, not just have a bit of fuel in them.

Sometimes an engine that's been rebuilt or one that has been sitting a very long time will be tough to start because there's no oil sealing the rings = very little compression. By the time the oil start sealing the rings, the plugs are fouled and thus the motor won't start. I run into this every now and again.

The plugs were fouled and that was part of the problem. Now I feel dumb. The plenum wasnt seeling on the drivers side end because it was resting on the bracket that bolts to the head, that you would hook a chain onto to lift the engine. Im not really sure how I moved the bracket, but it happened. So there was a huge leak on the plenum. Pressure testing for the win. I put it back together last night and it runs perfect.
