The car came out of storage this weekend and went straight to the repair shop, aka 440x4's house, where we did a master and slave clutch cylinder replacement and found out that once again renner has F'd me by sticking teflon tape on one of the hardline threads to keep it from leaking which was probably the problem. Big thanks to Jeff for all the work he's done on my car. Now its time to play with the new 450's and get this car running nice at 14psi. hopefully it'll be ready to go by umg and i'll be there to enjoy the fun.

He had a leaky line (allegedly "someone" replaced the slave cylinder) to fix this leak.
I don't like to accuse, but it appears "someone" used the thread tape on the leaky line, rather than doing a correct fix - as the bill stated...
Thread tape is used on many applications, but should not be used when a person is charged for an actual part...

I see...
Well, the only way I could see the threads on the slave lines leaking would be because whoever installed it didn't tighten it enough...

ah, ok. I was gonna say... I have never seen teflon tape cause a part to fail when applied to a seal, unless it was up to far, pealed off, and blocked off a component on the inside from working, and I wanted to know if they did that... but either way it's a

The car's owner was charged for a new slave cylinder. The owner received thread tape on a leaky connection INSTEAD of the new slave cylinder. That is where the disgruntlement came from. I've used thread tape on a lot of things, and it works great. His concern was the charge for a part that never met his car...
