well, if you already had your EGR blocked off, then the only difference should be the vacuum/boost to the fuel pressure regulator. you could have checked your fuel trims before/after and your A/F ratio before/after, but you don't have a logger. Didn't you also get new tires? perhaps that had something to do with it also...

Did get new tires. If that's what's doing it, I'm in serious trouble. The SAVC-R did start learing, BTW. Oil is black as piss. Must dremel that piece for the new air filter. Maybe after baseball pratice tonight -- if I can stay awake that long. Best, SJ

Yeh, gas mileage does drop a little with the EGR blocked. It's because there's more fresh air going thru the motor. It should only drop a couple mpg at the most though.
My mileage dropped a little after blocking it too, but I still get over 475 miles per tank if I keep off the boost. The days of 500+ miles per tank are done though.
Some suggestions I can give you would be to run your tire pressure between 36 and 40psi. I found this gives a harsher ride, but slightly better mileage.
If you knew what you were doing, I would suggest an SAFC and making a leaner low throttle tune, but this can be risky as your cruising EGT's go up.

SJ Then, it shouldn't make any difference in gas mileage. Check for boost leaks?

not saturday afternoon...no.
Later on saturday, after like 6pm I'll be around. I have a final from 3-5 on sat afternoon though.
Gregory-Dickory-Dock: You need to call me and rehash what else you said I could yank outta the slow vaccuum wise style, or post a pic so that I can do that next week after finals/before umg.
