The car had a vibration issue last year that felt like I was driving over rail road tracks on just the rear wheels. Since I had just replaced the alternator and I had all sorts of on going intake problems, I stuck the car in the garge for a while. That turned into a year.
This last weekend I had to move the car to work on my dad's truck. I put the battery back in my car after a quick charge. She started on the first turn of the key. It was as if I had been using the car the whole time.
After moving the car out of the garage I realized that the rear parking brakes are frozen. Another issue is either downpipe is really loud or my hearing is coming back.
I think the parking brake cables are the rusted in place since the lever only has tension at the top 5% of travel. Has anyone tried to break their cables free? Should I just order a new set of cables?

Last year I was having parking brake problems similar to yours and Mine might not have been so bad . But we used some "PB blaster and soaked it down and they broke loose then we readjusted the e-brake and it worked fine. But here we go with storage again so I don't know how it will fair with setting thru the winter. Tim
