A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a simple wiring trick -- much like the Snake Eye wiring mod -- that enabled the driving lights to come on with the parking lights. Does anyone remember this, have directions for this or know where I could find them?
Please advise.
Thanks,
SJ

Joe:
I have the snake eye mod -- and there is a MUCH simplier way to do it than that. I want to be able to have the driving lights be able to function when the parking lights are on.

Run a jumper wire between the headlight fuse and the tail light fuse in the black box under the hood. Note: I said FUSE not RELAY!

A long time ago I figured an easy way to do it. I think thats the one you are thinking about SJ. You run a wire from the "tail" relay to the "fog" relay. This is done in the fuse box next to the air intake. I actually just splice the wire to get two good bare ends and crunch them down in the relay connectors.
Its been years since I've done it. I remember at one of the MN 3/S Summer gatherings, we did it to four cars. Works slick.
The only negative thing I can say, is I did melt a wire once on my Stealth. I just made a new jumper wire.
later, Curt

O.K. SJ... I dug around the internet for a fues box pic. I did some fancy work in MS paint, LOL. Here it is: The yellow represents the jumper wire to go from the tail to fog relay. The only downside is your fogs will always be on if your parking lights are on. But its one way to have your fogs on without your headlights. later, Curt
