Hit a deer in illinois last night. (there for work) Benz is pretty much totaled. I have pictures, but don't have my cord to plug the camera to the computer. hit her going 60 mph. still on the gas. She jumped out of a ditch while being chased by a buck. legs hit the bumper, body hit the grill, hood, and driver's side fender. Her head hit the windshield. she rolled over the top of the car and was dead before she landed on the pavement behind me. Her leg actually got pinched in something and pulled off. I felt a little better after seeing that. Car died a few minutes later because of the coolant pissing out of the now de-bunked radiator. I hate illinois. Just got back into town now. gonna see about going back to get the car in the next few days. I will say one thing. That deer picked the wrong benz to mess with. Benz may look pretty beat up, but you should see the other guy...

Adam:
Glad YOU are okay as well. I bet that was quite an experience.
I had the pleasure of clipping one, but not in the beater -- in the batmobile...
Many moons ago, in the predawn dimness of a life I almost remember, when I was still gamefully employed making a decent wage, I was heading home for lunch one day. It had been one of those mornings, my stomach ached and my head hurt. In fact, it was day much like today, in the fall, sun low over the trees, et al. I was heading west on Gephardt in Brookfield, and as I approached the intersection of Barker, noticed what seemed to be two guys circling slowly around an intersection like sharks in a pick up truck and an old suburban. At the time, I simply looked and kept on going, not sure what to think.
As I was almost to the intersection when I caught something out of my right eye

The first thing both the cop and the tow truck driver ask is:
Do you want the deer?
Did I want the deer! yeah, let me head back and pick up the peices. I'll throw what I can in the duffle bag, and what ever doesn't fit in there we'll just toss in the passenger's seat.
stoopid fibs.
SJ. I also hit a fairly mammoth deer. She was a fat ol' girl. This is why I feel that all girls should be skinny. so when a guy chases you into the street, and you get hit by a car you do less damage.
I have never hit a deer in wisconsin. I'd like to think it's because our deer are smarter, but it's probably just because illinios deer are dumber.

saw a buck with a nice rack on er the other day. I was tempted to take the beater off raoding and give em a good whack just to trophy his head. LOL. I don't hunt so this would be the only way for me to ever get one. But yea deer do suck. I see about 5 every night coming home down my street luckily they are smart enough to stay off the f@#$ing road.

Benz is back in Wisconsin. Another facinating trip through the armpit of the U.S. I now see why fibs are fibs. I'd be pissed off at life if I had to live in illinois also. Power steering went out as we loaded it on the trailer. I'll post more about the mechanical damage when we pop the hood. either tonight, tomorrow, or possibly monday. Side note: Matt's ready for the stealth. or so he says. I'll stop out there tonight to confirm. two cars torn apart at the same time...
