His car is not running right, threw a crank sensor code, replaced it and it not starting now. He checked the ecu and says theres a leaky capacitor. Anyone got a spare 91 ecu lying around we could toss in?

Anyone got a spare 91 ecu lying around we could toss in? Thanks a bunch for posting this for me. This is my first post on the W3SI forums.. My car is a 91 3KGT VR4. The car is located right now in Mukwonago where it wont start. When i originally bought the car a few weeks ago it ran good and then one day wasnt starting consistantly and finally threw the CE light on. I pulled the code, got i believe was a "22" (CKPS). The sensor has good power and ground. I ran it to a shop across the street to where i work where they have a scanner. They said that one of the sine waves was dropping off on my cps/ckps sensor. I ordered a OEM Mitsubishi one and the car ran good for a day or two, and now wont start again. I didnt clear codes from the ECU so the only 2 codes it has in it are now the 22 and possibly a 23? (The other was a top dead sensor code) Which i believe are basically the same sensor. I have no tach signal right now and the car will not start. I found some posts on 3SI indicating Mitsu produced a bad batch of these sensors, which is what im hoping for i guess. In addition after searching around at 3SI i ended up pulling my ECU and found what looks to be a leaking cap. The car is getting fuel right now but no spark. The cooling fans run constantly in the "ON" position for the key. Any help is appreciated on this issue. I'm willing to drive pretty much anywhere to get any help on this car. Its my only car and ive been with out it for almost 3 weeks now making life kind of tough. Time to get a good DD now. Thanks a lot in advance and ill do the best to answer any questions. Eric

Yep, classic case of leaky cap ruining the board of the ECU.
Do you know someone with OBD1 ECU (out of a 91-93 TT) who'd be willing to loan it to you to be sure?
