Hey I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem Up until lately my car has run perfect and now sometimes when i hit the brakes my car just dies, I dont know what it is at first i thought it was my spark plugs but i changed them and its still happening but then again i dont know everything about cars so, If anyone can help me that would be great thanks.

Auto or Manual tranny? How many miles? Any mods? Tell me anything you can.
Just curious, does it still die when the AC is on?

my friend had the same problem with his car and it turned out just to be the battery. so you could just try that it could work.

Hey
Yeah, That same thing happense to me kind of... When I stop at a stop light with my stereo going and A/C going I just watch the volt O' Meter bob up and down so then I usually shut my A/C off and it seems too work (not bob up and down so much) but i do need a new battery and it will probably be better. Another question? I heard that that's the worse thing for your alternater trying to keep up with everything and I've heard of just putting a bigger alternater in it to keep up (I only have a 600 watt stereo system) and I still dont' have enough power to run it only when I'm above about 1500 RPM? ~Woody

Ok I'll check the battery I was kind of thinking fuel injectors but thats just a guess, G-Ell I have a manual 5 speed with 125,000 miles on it mods are limited to Lightweight Crank pulley 3sx filter and 3sx downpipe/testpipe. I have a system its nothing major though like an alpine amp 700w max with a jlaudio microsub or something i dont know much about that stuff. So i appreciate any help. Rdk

also I'm pretty sure the car doesn't die when the Ac is on cuz the rpm's stay high then and usually when it dies it will dip down sometimes only to 100 and pop back up but of course once it pops down to 0 its done.

What does the voltage gauge read with the motor running?

It reads 14v but unless i use the blinker it jumps down to 10 and up to 12 until i turn it off

Does it still read 14v when you are idling with the brake depressed? How bout with the headlights on?
