Greg and I both got home safe. We had to drive through a tornado, but that happens sometimes. Got a great pic of a weinermobile... The car on 94 octane feels like it's running on 4 cylinders... sigh.

eh, just put the right shit in the tank and you don't have to worry about injecting anything.

I've read several low 20 lbs posts on 3SI via alcohol/propane injection.
Obviously it depends on specific mods and tuning ability, but with the emangae I'd imagine you could max the 500's out on 93 oct and some form of knock deterant for much less than race gas costs....

G-ELL wrote: It's great you have a connection for race gas B.S. Ask Jesse about my "connection for race gas" It was so cheap he practically ran to Matt for a better deal. If I go to Matt and my uncle finds out he's gonna be "proud" of me. But he helps me with other stuff, so a bit over price gas isn't the end of the world. when I got that 10 gallons the first time it cost about 10 bucks a gallon. (about 4 bucks more than you can get it from Matt from.) I was pissed. My uncle said it was from all the transport costs. So the next one he said he'd split some of the costs on it, to make up for shafting me the first time. I got a 55 gallon drum cause it's the second most cost effective way. The first being pumping it out of the ground, but the quality is supposidly fairly lax on that. I can also sell some if I don't need it all. I just can't burn bridges Greg, it's not about cheap fuel. Especially if I want to bring in a boat load of projects over the winter when he's slow and get it done for cheap. Besides, how much is a good injection kit? and then, if you have pipe dreams of nitrous would you want to spray them both? And just upping the octane gave us fits of tuning madness. Is injecton gonna be better or worse?

Actually Eric, Adams motor is just really healthy. With no timing correction, we saw over 19psi with no knock. Pulling timing for more boost would make the car doggy. In other words, maxing the 500s while sacrificing timing wouldn't be any fun. ...and Adam, you just typed out my point, but I don't think you "got it". Race gas is not practical for a street car. It's expencive, hard to get, and a waist of $$ for just cruising around. Alcy is only being used when you need it and is as readily available as 93 octane. ...and yes, I will argue it's cheeper to puchase and run a alchy kit over a drum of race gas. I honestly don't know if it works as well, but it what a guy my position is stuck with. If my car didn't come with an EBC already in it, I'd be running a MBC as well.

I wasn't saying jack timing to run 40 psi. I'm just saying that the emanage gives you a lot of control so you could find the sweet spot. I've read a bunch of threads on methanol/propane injection and people seem to be having good results at a much lower price. A kit will run you between $250 and $400 depending on what you want. After that, its as cheap as propane or de-icer.
